ABSTRACT

Glycated hemoglobin A[1]c assay is performed using HPLC on cation exchange TSK SP 5 PW column. Separation is obtained in 10 minutes using graduated elution with sodium chloride and Bis-Tris buffer. Hb A[1]c is resolved from the other hemoglobins [F, A0 and S]. Reproductibility of method is quite good and can be correlated with an immunologic method [DCA 2000]

ABSTRACT

Activation of cellular proto-oncogenes can be detected in several human cancers. In the current study, alterations of C-erb B2 gene in primary human breast cancers were investigated. It was found to be amplified from 2 to 30 fold in 25% of the tumors. Correlations of gene amplification with several disease parameters was evaluated
