ABSTRACT

One of the important indexes of efficacy in urgent department is the handling time of urgent patients. According to the American heart society studies each minute delay in CPR for urgent patient decrease 7-l0°% of survival. Others study shows 30-40% of death in casualty [victims] is in primary minutes of accidence. For improve the quality of services in urgent department shortening the transfer time and presenting good care are the subjects that should be especial attention to them. Today attention to quality of services is the goals of pioneer organizations. And in health sector because of patient life, it is very important subject that should be attention to it and improve this service continuously. This is a descriptive study that performed with documents and outcome of previous studies. According to these materials running the FOCUS-PDCA program in urgent departments has a positive effects and it decreased the patient transfer time and presenting good care. These entail the stakeholder satisfaction and quality improvement

ABSTRACT

Warfare makes addition to adverse and psychosomatic disorders on combatants also it puts their families exposed to dangerous and problems. This study performed on object for omparison the effect of training conflict resolution and relaxation on quality of life's spouses of veterans affected post traumatic stress disorder with major depression. This is a quazi experimental study of clinical trial type that carried out on 42 veterans spouse in Baqiyatallah hospital [a.s] and Sadr psychiatric center. They were taken by randomization into two intervention groups [conflict resolution and relaxation training] and control group. The education program was developed for interventional groups at three sessions in two hours a week. However, control group didn't any training. The quality of life in three groups determined by SF 36 questionnaire at before, and after training [first six weeks after intervention i.e. follow up and second six weeks after intervention i.e. final phase]. The data were analyzed by using spss with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that there wasn't significant difference in total mean rank of quality of life before intervention between conflict resolution and relaxation groups [p > 0/05, independent T test] but There was a significant difference between conflict resolution and control groups; also relaxation and control groups before intervention [p=0/001]. Whereas There wasn't significant difference between mean rank of quality of life in control group at three phases. Also the Friedman ANOVA test showed that there was significant difference in total mean rank of quality of life in intervention groups at before intervention, follow up and final phases[p=0/0001]. In addition to, it didn't show significant difference in total mean rank of quality between conflict resolution and relaxation groups [p > 0/05, independent T test]. Considering the results of this study which explanatory the influence two techniques of intervention on qulity of life. Therefore it is recommended that be used the conflict resolution skill program to promotion the health level and quality of life's individuals society especially veterans families

ABSTRACT

Attention to mental health is important in all aspects of life such as individual, social and occupational. Inattention to mental health is one of the most important factors in reduced productivity, be losed humanpower and develops physical and mental complications especially in professional services. Considering nurses role in health system and necessary for high motivation in work place to health security about this grand group and referral persons to them, we accomplished this research to studding of mental health nursing staff in educational hospitals affiliated to Tehran medical sciences university. This is a descriptive correlational and cross- sectional study, we performed on 200 nurses who were selected via probable multistage sampling. Data collecting tool were including demographic characteristics and General Health Questionnaire -28 [GHQ-28]. The findings regarding to level of mental health showed that 43% samples were symptomatic and 57% of them were asymptomatic. There was not significant correlation between mental health and demographic characteristics such as marital status, children numerous, economic satisfaction. But relationship between mental health and variables consisting of job history, overtime work and shift was significant. The mean score of menal health was 23/29 that in comparison with general population in Iran is high numeral. Nurses mental health to several causes toward other community people exposed to risk. The most important reasons that we could point for these findings, are job stressors identity, strain, exposing to disasters situations, shifts, organizational and individual factors
