ABSTRACT
A young female nurse presented with symptoms of general weakness lethargy and mild hypertension. Investigation revealed hypokalaemia and iron-deficiency anaemia. Correction of the anaemia led to partial improvement in symptoms. Further investigations showed that she was suffering from pseudo-hyperaldosteronism, a rare familial disorder. The importance of recognition and investigation and hence avoidance of the subsequent complications of hypokalaemia are emphasized
