ABSTRACT
1. Seven cases of intestinal obstruction secondary to ascaris were admitted to the Philippine General Hospital within a period of two years2. All of these cases recovered under conservative management alone, so that surgical intervention was not advocated3. Stress is laid on an early differentiation between intestinal obstruction due to ascariasis and an acute abdomen requiring surgical intervention. (Summary and Conclusions)
