ABSTRACT

Between 1975 and 1980 we managed 38 patients with intramural ureteric stones by endoscopic ureteral meatotomy. The technique is very easy and uniformly successful as compared to transabdominal surgery. Vesicoureteral reflux occurred in 12 percent of cases but only in one instance was it of the complete type reaching the kidney. Reflux usually does not occur if the meatotomy incision is less than 1 cm
