ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To observe the serological features of hepatitis G virus (HGV or GBV) in selected population of Shaanxi, Qinghai and Xinjiang Provinces (region).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to determine IgG antibody against GBV (anti-GBV IgG) in serum specimens of 1469 individuals from the 3 provinces (region).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The positivity rate of serum GBV-IgG antibody in ethnic minorities (4.11% in Tibetan, 5.36% in Mongolian, 4.55% in Uigur, 4.00% in Hui population) was slightly higher than that in Han population (1.36%-1.73%), but the differences were not significant (P>0.05). The positivity rate of serum GBV-IgG antibody in drug abusers (11.30%, 34/301) was remarkably higher than that of the normal population (2.44%,18/736) (P<0.01). The positivity rate of serum GBV-IgG antibody in blood donors was 1.02%-7.68%.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The positivity rates of serum GBV-IgG antibody among ethnic groups in the 3 provinces (region) had no significant differences; blood-borne transmission seemed to be an important transmission route of GBV, therefore supervision of blood donors and drug abusers should be intensified.</p>

ABSTRACT

With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the biological phenomena of the human body are being constantly digitalized or analyzed through IT. Hence the advent of informatics of clinical diagnosis. The emergence of informatics of clinical diagnosis is based on the fact that development of modern science and technology has greatly enriched information on clinical diagnosis, thus setting up a scientific and advanced platform for the management of such information. The decoding of the human genome has spurred research on protein and cytobiology, making it possible to keep a lifelong record of life information starting from the embryonic phase and form a database with information on the health of the body and clinical diagnosis. Information on peoples health, however, ought to be protected legally and social morals have set new demands on the management of information on clinical diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo study Decorin biological effects,Decorin gene cDNA was cloned and expressed in E. coli. MethodsThe Decorin gene obtained by PCR from T cell cDNA library and cloned into plasmid vector pUC19. The encoding sequence of Decorin in the pUC19 was confirmed by DNA sequencing using Sanger Dideoxy method, and then it was subcloned into expression plasmid vector pGEX-4T-1, the recombinant vector was indentified with BamHI and EcoRI in 1.2 % agarose gel electrophoresis. The expression of Decorin fusion protein with GST in E. coli JM109 was induced with IPTG and identified by SDS-PAGE. ResultsThe PCR amplified DNA fragment shared identical sequence with known Decorin gene reported in GenBank (Accession number: AF138300). The SDS-PAGE analysis revealed that the expressed fusion protein MW was approximatelly 65.6KD and in soluble format. ConclusionThe cloned Decorin gene is correct and it was expressed in fusion protein with GST.
