ABSTRACT
Los hospitales se constituyen en una importante puerta de ingreso para el sistema de salud. El objetivo de esta investigación cuali-cuantitativa, fue observar la representación social de los pacientes de la Facultad de Odontología de Araçatuba (FOA) - UNESP, que se benefician de la interacción: universidad pública y hospitales generales. Fueron escuchados por medio de entrevistas abiertas, grabadas y transcritas, con todos los pacientes (105) que frecuentaran las antesalas de la Clínica Integrada, en el primer semestre de 2005, con la pregunta: ¿Como supiste de la atención aquí en la FOA? Fue construido el Discurso del Sujeto Colectivo (DSC), la representación de campo que permite una sociedad decir como se fuera un solo individuo. Veinte y tres de los pacientes, fueron encaminados a la FOA, por UBS de Araçatuba(7) y región(16) y 21 pacientes por hospitales. Se ha podido constatar que la interacción universidad pública y hospitales generales es una realidad.
Hospitals are very important for the health system. The objective of this quali-quantitative research was to visualize patients social representation, which profited of the interaction between public universities and hospitals. 105 patients in the waiting rooms at the Integrated Clinic at FOA - UNESP in the first semester 2005 answered to the question: "How did you know about the service at FOA? " - in opened interviews, recorded or written. A collective speech of the subject represented the field that allouds a society to speak as one. Twenty three of all patients have been sent to FOA by Health Assistance Centers in Araçatuba (7) and region (16) and twenty one patients assisted in Araçatuba by emergency. We can observe that the interaction between the public universities and general hospitals is a reality.
