ABSTRACT
Com base no filme Um Método Perigoso, de David Cronenberg, teço um olhar a respeito da aproximação, do conflito e da ruptura entre Freud e Jung ancorado no atrito entre dois modos de conceber o estatuto do conhecimento. A saber, Freud, que no filme se compara a Colombo - o descobridor de um continente desconhecido - mantém-se fiel às concepções modernas da ciência e, portanto, atua de acordo com os limites do universalismo, enquanto Jung, que propõe ao primeiro o epíteto de Galileu - que, com o uso da luneta, propôs um novo modo de olhar o universo -, se revela um perspectivista, concebendo a descoberta de Freud como uma possibilidade interpretativa sobre algo que permite inúmeras outras. O universalismo, mantendo-se coerente consigo mesmo, é epistemicida, vale dizer, não suporta outros olhares, tomando-os por inimigos a serem dizimados. O perspectivismo, ao contrário, alegra-se com a criação de mais uma versão interpretativa. Tais modos de ser tão diferentes encontram-se, no filme, figurados pelos dois grandes investigadores do psíquico, e até mesmo o choque que permeia tal aproximação será distintamente concebido por Freud e Jung
This article interprets the approximation, conflict and rupture between Freud and Jung on David Cronenberg's movie A Dangerous Method, anchored in the friction between two ways of conceiving the statute of knowledge. Namely, Freud who compares himself to Columbus in the movie remains faithful to the modern conceptions of science and therefore acts according to the limits of universalism. Jung on his turn proposes Freud Galilee's first epithet: using the lunette, he affirms a new way of looking at the universe. Jung thus proclaims himself as a perspectival, conceiving Freud's discovery as interpretative possibility over something that allows countless others. If kept coherent universalism is epistemic and do not stand other views, turning them into enemies to be wiped out. The perspectivism, on the contrary, is pleased with another interpretative version. In the movie such different ways meet on two investigators of the psychic, and even the crash that permeates such approximation is distinctively conceived by Freud and Jung
