ABSTRACT
El trabajo indaga conceptualmente en algunas ideas freudianas sobre el dolor mental. Se establece una comparación entre estas nociones y ciertos hallazgos recientes en el campo de la neurociencia social, es decir aquellos estudios de los procesos cerebrales que hacen posible a las personas entender a otros, entenderse a sí mismos y conducirse por el mundo social de manera efectiva. Específicamente se investigan las estructuras y los efectos neurobiológicos que se correlacionan con experiencias sociales dolorosas ("dolor social"), como la exclusión y el abandono. este cruce interdisciplinario entre ciencias sociales, neurociencias y psicoanálisis muestra sorprendentes correspondencias que permiten una mayor comprensión de los fenómenos que subyacen biológicamente a las interrelaciones humanas.
The paper explores from the conceptual point of view some Freudian ideas about mental pain. A comparison is established between these notions and some recent findings in the area of social neuroscience, those studies related to the cerebral processes that enable people to understand each other, understand them selves and interact effectively in the social world. Specifically it investigates the neurobiological structures and effects that correlate with painful social experiences ("Social pain"), like exclusion and abandonment. This interdisciplinary intersection between social sciences, neuroscience and psychoanalysis shows amazing correspondences, which allows a major understanding of the biological phenomena that underlie human relationships.
