ABSTRACT
La circuncisión masculina se ha relacionado con un riesgo menor de infecciones por el VIH en estudios de observación internacionales y en tres ensayos clínicos controlados aleatoriamente. La circuncisión masculina también se ha relacionado con una cantidad de otros beneficios para la salud. Aunque la circuncisión masculina conlleva algunos riesgos, las complicaciones graves son poco comunes. Por consiguiente, la circuncisión masculina, junto con otras estrategias de prevención, puede jugar un papel importante en la prevención del VIH en sitios similares a los de los ensayos clínicos. Mientras los CDC continúan con la creación de recomendaciones para la salud pública, los hombres en forma individual pueden considerar la circuncisión como una medida adicional de prevención del VIH, pero se debe considerar que la circuncisión conlleva riesgos y costos que se deben tener en cuenta junto a los beneficios potenciales; ha resultado eficaz en la reducción del riesgo de infección por el VIH solo en las relaciones sexuales vaginales insertivas y ofrece solo protección parcial y debe ser considerada solamente junto con otras medidas de prevención comprobadas (abstinencia, monogamia mutua, número reducido de parejas sexuales y uso adecuado y constante de condones).
The masculine circumcision aleatoriamente has been related to a minor risk of infections by the VIH in international studies of observation and in three clinical controlled tests(essays). The masculine circumcision also has related to a quantity of other benefits for the health.Though the masculine circumcision carries some risks, the serious complications are slightly common.Consequently, the masculine circumcision, together with other strategies of prevention, can play an important paper (role) in the prevention of the VIH in sites (places) similar to those of the clinical tests(essays).While the CDC continue with the creation of recommendations for the public health, the men in individual form can consider the circumcision to be an additional measure of prevention of the VIH. But it is necessary to to think that the circumcision carries risks and costs that must be born in mind close to the potential benefits; insertivas has turned out to be effective in the reduction of the risk of infection for the alone VIH in the sexual vaginal relations and offers only partial protection and must be considered only together with other verified measures of prevention (abstinence, mutual monogamy, limited (small) number of sexual pairs (couples) and suitable and constant use of condoms).
