ABSTRACT

Psoriasis in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) has a prevalence similar to that found in the general population, approximately 2% to 3% and, in some populations, up to 5%. However, the clinical picture is usually more aggressive and the typical patterns of psoriasis vulgaris may not be present, which poses diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties. The aim of this paper is to present a patient with HIV and psoriasis and to review the subject in the literature.
