ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the relationship between the expression of angiopoietin 1 (ANGPT1) and Smadhomolog 9 (Smad9) genes in cancer tissues and tumor metastasis, invasion behavior and prognosis in patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Methods:Sixty patients with lung adenocarcinoma in Chengwu Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University from October 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects. The expressions of ANGPT1 and Smad9 mRNA in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were compared, as well as the expressions of ANGPT1 and Smad9 mRNA in cancer tissues of patients with different tumor metastasis and invasion behaviors. The relationship between ANGPT1 and Smad9 mRNA expression and tumor metastasis and invasion behavior of lung adenocarcinoma were analyzed, and the 1-year survival rate of patients with lung adenocarcinoma was calculated. The 1-year survival rate of patients with different ANGPT1 and SMAD9 mRNA expression levels were compared. Results:The relative expression of ANGPT1 mRNA and Smad9 mRNA in cancer tissues were lower than those in adjacent tissues: 2.45 ± 0.26 vs. 11.18 ± 0.93, 4.23 ± 0.31 vs. 7.58 ± 0.65, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). There were significant differences in the relative gene expression of ANGPT1 and Smad9 mRNA in different clinical stages, tumor diameter, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and pleural invasion ( P<0.05). Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression of ANGPT1 and Smad9 mRNA were negatively correlated with clinical stage, tumor diameter, lymph node metastasis and pleural invasion ( r = - 0.517, - 0.539, - 0.606, - 0.679, P<0.05), and positively correlated with the degree of differentiation ( r = 0.628, P<0.05). The 1-year survival rate of 58 patients was 72.41%. Kaplan-Meier curve analysis showed that the 1-year survival rate of patients with low expression of ANGPT1 and Smad9 mRNA in cancer tissues were were lower than those in patients with high expression ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Down-regulation of ANGPT1 and Smad9 genes in cancer tissues will accelerate the metastasis and invasion behavior of lung adenocarcinoma. Up-regulating the expression of both genes can be a potential way to improve survival.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the research hotspots and future trend of nursing safety. Methods Biclustering analysis was adopted to analyze the nursing safety literature in PubMed and Wanfang databases from 2012 to 2016 through the bibliographic contribution system BICOMB and graph clustering toolkit gCLUTO 1.0. Results Domestic nursing safety research fronts from 2012 to 2016 focused on adverse events, quality care services, quality evaluation indicators, work errors and safety culture. On the other hand, overseas nursing safety researches focused on system analysis, nursing quality sensitive indicators, teamwork and nursing safety, and the impacts of nursing work environment on quality and safety. Conclusions Comprehensive means of multi-disciplinary teamwork can be called into play for in-depth study of deloping adverse events assessment tools, establishing a unified nursing sensitive indicator system and continuous improvement. The future research trends are establishing a national standardized nursing adverse events reporting system, using information technology to build a big data platform for information sharing and exploring nursing safety from the security environment and organization management.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the advantages and disadvantages of smear immunohistochemistry and biopsy of bone marrow in the detection of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) infiltration. Methods 60 newly diagnosed patients with NHL were collected. Smear immunohistochemistry and biopsy of bone marrow were applied to detect bone marrow involvement in those patients. The relations between the results of two detection methods and the relevant clinical characteristics, such as age, blood routine examination, lactic dehydrogenase, extensive infiltration, B symptom, performance status, clinical stage and so on were analyzed. Results Positive rate of bone marrow involvement in bone marrow smear immunohistochemistry group was higher than that in bone marrow biopsy group [10.0 % (6/60) vs. 3.3 % (2/60), P=0.008]. When detection on B cell infiltration, positive rates were 6.6 % (4/60) and 3.3 % (2/60) in smear immunohisto chemistry group and biopsy group, respectively (P=0.007), and when detection on T cell infiltration, the positive rates were 3.3%(2/60) and 0 (0/60), respectively. Furthermore, two detection method was not correlated with related clinical characteristics, such as bone marrow biopsy, immunohistochemistry, gender, age, Karnofsky score, B symptom, extranodal involvement, lactic dehydrogenase, thrombocyte, Hb, neutrophils, lymphocyte and staging (all P>0.05). Conclusions The positive rate of bone marrow smear immunohistochemistry is superior to bone marrow biopsy in the detection of bone marrow involvement of NHL. As for the immunophenotyping of NHL, sensitive rate of bone marrow smear immunohistochemistry is also better than that of bone marrow biopsy.
