ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was conducted to assessing students' knowledge and practice concerning traumatic persons as well as to design, implement and evaluate the outcome of first aid teaching program for caring of person with trauma. The assessment for developing this program was determined by test questionnaire sheet and observation checklist. First aid teaching program was implemented on 60 students of the Faculty of Education in Assiut and EL-Mania universities. The program was evaluated applying the same tools used in assessment phase, then immediately after the program implementation. The main results obtained were students had score less than 40% in their knowledge and performance before program implementation. After program implementation, the results showed an improvement in the students' knowledge and performance regarding the care of persons with trauma
