ABSTRACT

JMJD5 belongs to the protein family of JMJD and is closely related to tumorigenesis. JMJD5 plays a carcinogenic role in some tumors, such as oral cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer and atypical meningiomas, JMJD5 promotes the proliferation, migration and invasion of cancer cells. However, JMJD5 not only plays a carcinogenic role in some tumors, but also plays an anticancer role. For example, in bladder cancer, JMJD5 inhibits the metastasis of bladder cancer; in liver cancer, on the one hand JMJD5 promotes the replication of hepatitis B virus (HBV), and on the other hand it inhibits the growth of cancer cells; in lung cancer, on the one hand JNJD5 promotes the proliferation of cancer cells, and on the other hand it inhibits the metastasis of cancer cells by promoting the stabilization of microtubules. This article will focus on the mechanisms of JMJD5 in tumors, in order to provide a new target for tumor prevention and treatment.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to learn drug resistance situation of four first-line anti TB drugs among 251 Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from Qinghai and to explore their relationships with genotypes by Spoligotyping,so as to provide basis for effective prevention of tuberculosis.Isolates of 251 M.tuberculosis were tested susceptibilities of four first-line drugs including isoniazid (INH),rifampicin (RFP),streptomycin(SM) and ethambutol (EMB) by using conventional proportion method and genotyped by Spoligotyping.Relationship between drug resistance and genotypes was analyzed statistically.Results showed the total drug resistance rate was 56.2% (141/251) among 251 M.tuberculosis isolates.Resistance rates of four first-line drugs were 43.0% (108/251) for INH,37.1% (93/251) for RFP,39.0% (98/251) for SM,27.9% (70/251) for EMB respectively.Rate of multidrug-resistant TB (MDR TB) was 31.5% (79/251).All 251 isolates of M.tuberculosis were typed by spoligotyping.The 185 (73.7 %) were Beijing genotypes and 66 (26.3.%) were non-Beijing genotypes,and no statistical association was found with drug resistance.This paper concludes that isolates of M.tuberculosis prevail in Qinghai have both high rates of drug resistance and MDR and dominant isolates are Beijing genotypes by spoligotyping.

ABSTRACT

Objective Sarcopenia and metabolic syndrome share similar pathophysiological mechanisms. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of sarcopenia among health examination population, and to analyze the relationship between sar-copenia and blood pressure, blood glucose, uric acid and lipids. Methods Physical examination data of 1191 healthy persons in the medical examination center of the hospital from Mar 2011 to Jun 2011 were collected. The weight, skeletal muscle, body fat, body mass index ( BMI) , waist circumference,body fat percentage, waist-hip ratio and visceral fat area were analyzed by human body compositionanalyzer and the prevalence of sarcopenia was observed. At the same time, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipo-protein-cholesterol ( HDL-C ) , low density lipoprotein-cholesterol ( LDL-C) , uric acid and fasting blood glucose were also detected. Results The prevalence rate of sarcopenia of the subjects was 5.21%, and the highest incidence was found in ≥60 years group( 11.11%) . The prevalence rates of overweight and obesity were 33.8% and 10.2%, respectively. The prevalence of sarcopenia is grad-ually higher along with increasing BMI. The prevalence rates of sarcopenia of overweight and obesity subjects were 5.47% and 26.23%, respectively. Compared with the normal control group, the level of weight[(66.34±11.75)kg vs (76.71±12.84)kg ], BMI[(23.37± 3.13) vs (28.05±3.66)], body fat percentage[(25.33±6.06)% vs (36.76±4.47)%], waist circumference[(83.19±9.56)cm vs (95.45±13.74)cm] and visceral fat area[(88.96±29.74)cm2 vs (136.91±25.56)cm2] were higher in the sarcopenia group (P<0.05). Compared with the normal control group, the incidence of systolic blood pressure[(125.59±30.04)mmHg vs (139.39±19.79) mmHg], diastolic blood pressure[(75.82±11.95)mmHg vs (82.34±10.96)mmHg ] TG[(1.56±1.12)mmol/L vs (1.98±1.72)mmol/L] and uric acid[(313.75±83.07)mmol/L vs (335.55±96.07)mmol/L] were higher in the sarcopenia group (P<0.05). Compared with the normal subjects, the detectable rates of abnormal diastolic blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, uric acid, and LDL-C were increased in the sarcopenia, obesity and sarcopenia combined with obesity subjects (P<0.05). The odds ratio of abnormal systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, uric acid, and LDL-C increased in the sarcopenia, obesity and sarcopenia combined with obe-sity subjects using logistic regression analyses after correction of gender and age. Conclusion The sarcopenia may have some con-nection with metabolic risk factors. Early detection of sarcopenia can help to distinguish people predisposed to metabolic syndrome, and it has important significance for prevention of chronic disease.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the variable number tandem repeats (VNTR) genetic polymorphisms, genotyping and distribution pattern of clinical Mycobacterium (M.) tuberculosis isolates from Qinghai province.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The clinical M. tuberculosis strains isolated from the patients with tuberculosis and related background data were collected from Qinghai Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention from 2009 to 2012. Genotyping was conducted by using multiple locus VNTR analysis (MLVA). Genomic DNA was extracted and 15 VNTR loci were amplified with PCR and the PCR products were detected with gel electrophoresis. The VNTR diversity and clusters of genotyping were analyzed with BioNumerics (Version 5.0).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>A total of 251 clinical M. tuberculosis isolates were analyzed with 15 VNTR loci showing that there were great genetic diversity in these isolates. Six of the 15 VNTR loci, showed that the Hunter-Gaston index (HGI) were higher than 0.6, in which the highest resolution was MIRU26. The clusters of genotyping showed that these isolates could be categorized into four gene clusters and 238 genotypes. The four gene clusters accounted for 4.9%, 91.9%, 1.6% and 1.6% of the clinical isolates, respectively.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The results showed that there is great variety of VNTR genetic polymorphisms in clinical M. tuberculosis isolates in Qinghai province.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of the emergency nursing pathway on acute myocardial infarction patients.Methods From December 2009 to December 2010,86 cases of AMI patients were classified into the observation group and the control group with 43 cases in each group.The observationgroup was treated with emergency nursing pathway and the control group was treated with traditional nursing.The time of lying in bed,hospitalization time,disease knowledge,complications and patients satisfaction degree between the two groups were compared.Results The time of lying in bed,hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group,disease knowledge scores were significantly higher than those in the control group,and complication rate was significantly lower than that in the control group.The patients' satisfaction degree in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group.Conclusions Application of emergency nursing pathway in acute myocardial infarction patients can shorten time of lying in bed and hospitalization time,lower complication rate,improve patients' satisfaction degree,which is worthy of being applied in clinic.

Objective To observe the effect of Chinese herbs most used in rheumatoid arthritis such as diaphoretics (ephedra), wind-expelling herbs (monkshood), blood activating drugs (angelica) and compound mixture in treating adjuvant arthritis, and study the compatibility law. @#目的探讨启蒙教育对提高脑瘫患儿智力和注意力集中能力的作用。方法组织启蒙教育班,对25名脑瘫患儿通过游戏、手工、学儿歌、音乐、辨色、认识方位等多种形式开发智力 ,培养注意力集中能力。结果经启蒙教育后,患儿智商比教育前明显增高(χ2=4.13,P<0.05),注意力集中能力明显增高。结论启蒙教育可提高脑瘫患儿的智力和注意力集中能力,促进患儿的全面康复。

ABSTRACT

AIM:To study the curative effect of Xuesaitong Injection (total notoginsenoside) on cerebral infarction.METHODS: 60 patients are divided into two groups at random. The treatment group was treated with Xuesaitong Injection (10mg in 250mL of 0.9% NS by IV infusion). The control group was treated with Danshen Injection (16mL in 250mL of 0.9% NS by IV infusion). Once a day for 28 days.RESULTS: The total effective rate of Xuesaitong Injection group was 80.0%. There were little bad reaction reported. The total effective rate of Danshen Injection was 66.7%.
