ABSTRACT

To analyze the psychological experience of close contacts with COVID-19 during the centralized isolation medical observation (centralized isolation for short) period, 17 close contacts of COVID-19 who received medical isolation observation at designated locations in a city of China were selected by purposive sampling using qualitative study methods, and the interviewees were interviewed by full-coverage structured telephone. By analyzing the obtained data and summarizing the themes, it was found that the psychological status of the COVID-19 close contacts during the centralized isolation period could be classified into three themes: obvious negative emotions, somatization of psychological problems, and demand for social support. During the epidemic, when close contacts were quarantined as high-risk groups, they often had complex and difficult psychological experiences. Relevant departments should actively carry out online guidance channels and offline knowledge dissemination, actively conduct psychological interventions for close contacts, assist them to develop life plans to enrich the life of the centralized isolation period. At the same time, relevant departments should do a good job in logistics and life support services, create a comfortable isolated living environment, and effectively relieve the negative emotions of close contacts of COVID-19 during centralized isolation through a variety of positive and effective measures to ensure physical and mental health.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of irradiation on the expression of miR-150-5p and miR-23a-3p in human peripheral blood serum by collecting peripheral blood of tumor patients before and after radiotherapy, so as to provide scientific basis for finding radiation biomarkers. Methods:A total of 63 tumor patients treated with radiotherapy from October 2021 to March 2022 were enrolled in this study. The relative expression levels of miR-150-5p and miR-23a-3p in peripheral blood serum in these patients were detected using the real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qPCR) before and after radiotherapy. The differential changes in the expression levels of the two miRNAs in the peripheral blood serum of the patients before and after radiotherapy were compared, and their relationships with factors such as cancer types were analyzed. Results:The relative expression levels of miR-150-5p and miR-23a-3p in peripheral blood serum of the patients after radiotherapy were significantly lower than those before radiotherapy ( t = 4.97, Z = -2.77, P < 0.05). Among different cancer types, the relative expression level of miR-150-5p in the patients with breast cancer, esophageal cancer, or other digestive tract cancer decreased after radiotherapy ( t = 3.47, 2.47, 2.87, P < 0.05), and the relative expression level of miR-23a-3p in the patients with digestive tract cancer decreased after radiotherapy ( Z = -1.99, P < 0.05). The changes in the expression level of miR-150-5p before and after radiotherapy were not affected by gender, age, chemotherapy, and cancer type ( P > 0.05). By contrast, the changes in the expression level of miR-23a-3p before and after radiotherapy were significantly affected by gender, age, and chemotherapy ( t=2.04, -3.34, -2.29, P<0.05). Conclusions:The expression of miR-150-5p in the serum of tumor patients may be affected by radiotherapy, which has the potential to be used as a biological indicator of radiation.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the adverse reactions, cosmetic effects and the improvement in positioning of breast cancer patients who received breast-conserving operation followed by hypofractionated radiotherapy and conventional radiotherapy based on the positioning of body membrane method with windowing method. Methods:From January 2019 to April 2020, 75 patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into two groups: hypofractionated radiotherapy (38 cases) administered with 42.4 Gy/16 fractions (2.65 Gy/fraction), and conventional group (37 cases) with 50 Gy/25 fractions (2.0 Gy/fraction). All of them were located by thermoplastic film, and the upper parts of the thermoplastic film were cut along the root of the breast. The adverse reactions, cosmetic effect and follow-up survival of the two groups were observed. Results:During the follow-up period, there was no recurrence in the two groups within 8 months. The local control rate and the survival rate of all the patients were both 100%. The total incidence of acute skin reaction in the two groups was 36.84% (14/38) in the hypofractionated group and 67.57% (25/37) in the conventional group ( χ2=7.09, P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of cosmetic effect was 89.47% (34/38) in the hypofractionated group and 78.38% (29/37) in the conventional group, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). There were not statistically differences in the late skin reaction, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Breast-conserving surgery followed by hypofractionated radiotherapy with the positioning of body membrane windowing localization method is feasible and safe. Also, it can significantly reduce the acute radiation skin reactions. But the long-term effects still need to be confirmed by long-term follow-up.

ABSTRACT

A stimulate method for determination of polybrominated diphenyl ethers ( PBDEs) and derivatives (OH-PBDEs and MeO-PBDEs), tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA), hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) in egg samples was developed by gel permeation chromatography ( GPC) and dispersive solid phase extraction ( DSPE) combined with liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometric ( HPLC-MS/MS) and gas chroma-tography-negative chemical ionization mass spectrometry ( GC-NCI/MS ) . The analytes were extracted with mixture of hexane and dichloromethane (1∶1, V/V) by accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), and purified by 100 mg C18 dispersive solid phase extraction ( SPE) sorbents followed with gel permeation chromatography (GPC) , and then analyzed by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometric (HPLC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography-negative chemical ionization mass spectrometry (GC-NCI/MS), respectively. The quantita-tion was carried out external standard method. The recoveries of objects were 64. 5%-97. 2% and 65. 6%-109 . 2% ( except BDE85 was 54 . 8%, OH-BDE-137 was 47 . 4%) spiked at 1 . 0 μg/kg or 5 . 0 μg/kg in egg white and egg yolk, respectively. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) were less than 20. 2%. The limits of quantitation (LOQ) for the object were 0. 01-0. 2 μg/kg.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigat the safe time of SVC interruption in New Zealand rabbits, and help to find the safe time ofSVC interruption in chnical operation. Methods 25 New-Zealand rabbits were separated into 3 groups randomly. Bi-SVC was cross-clamped for one hour, two hours in animal models. The femoral artery or SVC pressures were monitored. The control group (sham op-eration group, 5) were opened chest both sides and monitored femoral artery pressure and SVC pressure for 2 hours. Samples of cere-brum, cerebellum and medulla of rabbits immediately post-operation were studied for water content, light and electric microscopies. The tiny change of brain cells in brain mantle, hippocampus and thalamencephal were observed under electron microscope. Results(1) The SVC pressure of rabbits varied regularly in occlusion groups, which displayed as "upgrade-degression- upgrade again-retain".(2) There was no obvious difference in water content of brain between the one hour group and the control group, both of which weremuch lower than two hours group. (3) The brain tissues were almost in normal construction in one hour group, but encephaledema wasobserved in two hours group. The pathological change of cony brain cells was light and reversible in one hour group. However, in twohours group, necrosis of neuron ceils in brain could be observed, which was irreversible. Concerto The animal model of acuteSVC obstruction was built successfully. Interruption of the SVC for 1 hour was proved safe, with longer interruption of SVC 2 hours, obvious encephaledema and necrosis of neuron cells can be observed.
