ABSTRACT
En este artículo se muestra el desarrollo de un instrumento para evaluar el procesamiento sensorial a través de la observación y registro de las conductas de recién nacidos de pretérmino en las unidades de neonatología. Este es un cuestionario que contiene 21 preguntas que se responden en conjunto con los padres. El principal objetivo de esta evaluación es poder facilitar las habilidades de éstos para observar y reconocer las conductas de sus hijos. Lo que podría llevarnos a facilitar un mejor calce entre la madre padre y el bebé.Este buen calce o Goodness of Fit entre los padres y sus hijos hace referencia a que los padres puedan reconocer e interpretar las conductas de sus hijos o hijas y que de esta forma puedan responder de manera más atingente a sus necesidades. Esto tendría un importante impacto en las capacidades del bebé para regularse y también sobre los padres para desarrollar una mayor sensación de eficacia en su rol de cuidador.
This article presents an instrument for assessing the sensory processing through the observation and record of preterm babies behavior. This instrument has 21 questions that must be answered with the babies parents. The main goal of this measure is to favor the parents abilities to observe and recognize their babies behaviors. This could favor the Goodness of Fit between the mother father and the new born. This Goodness of Fit between the parents and the baby refers to the ability to recognize and read their babies cues and being able to answer in a satisfactory way to their new born needs. This could have an important effect on their babies regulation and on the parents feeling of efficacy in their role.

El establecimiento de un apego seguro es un factor que promueve el desarrollo y bienestar del niño y su familia. Es por esto que en este trabajo hemos querido ligar el concepto del apego con los niños con necesidades especiales, y el cómo las relaciones tempranas pueden potenciar su desarrollo motor, cognitivo y socio-emocional. Del mismo modo queremos plantear la necesidad que existe de incluir el apego como eje central de las intervenciones tempranas, lo cual puede realizarse a través del empoderamiento de los padres, entregándoles claves que les permitirán tener interacciones más cálidas y significativas, reconociendo el estilo y necesidades de su hijo, logrando potenciar su sensibilidad y la capacidad para regularlos y establecer interacciones que van a potenciar su desarrollo y aprendizajes.
The establishment of a secure attachment enhances the family and child development and wellbeing. This is why in this essay we wanted to bind the attachment theory with the children with special needs and show how the early relationships can promote the motor, cognitive and socio-emotional development. In the same way we wanted to stress the need of including the attachment as a core aspect in the early interventions, through the parents empowerment by giving them the cues that would let them have warmer and more significant interactions, being able to recognize their child style and needs, and as a result of this they can achieve a better sensibility and the ability to regulate them and establish interactions that can favor their development and knowledge.

El trabajo en los Servicios de Neonatología requiere una adecuada comprensión de la compleja y bella relación que se da entre el Recién Nacido de Pretérmino, la familia y el equipo de salud. Siendo esta un área donde nos encontraremos con una población muy susceptible y frágil, debemos propiciar que este niño sea capaz de responder adecuadamente a las demandas que este nuevo ambiente le presenta y así pueda madurar, crecer e ir adquiriendo los hitos del desarrollo de la mejor manera posible. Para ello es importante implementar los Programas de Asistencia Individualizados y reconocer los aportes que la Terapia Ocupacional puede realizar en esta área.
The work in the Neonatal Services requires an understanding of the complex and beautiful relationship between the newborn, the family and health staff. Being this an area where we will find a very fragile and susceptible population, we must ensure the childs ability to respond appropriately to the demands imposed by this new environment, and in this way mature, grow and acquire the developmental milestones in the best possible way. For this it is important to carry out Individualized Assistance Programs and to recognize the contributions of the Occupational Therapy in this area.
