ABSTRACT
Este artigo narra o processo de construção de uma intervenção fílmica realizada na Praça da Sé e na Praça do Carmo, centro de São Paulo, que teve como objetivo responder as seguintes questões: o que aconteceria se um camelô desse informações sobre a menopausa em um espaço público da cidade de São Paulo? Será que conseguiríamos filmar o que eventualmente poderia acontecer? À medida que o projeto ia sendo realizado e as filmagens aconteciam, foram surgindo além de imprevistos e surpresas, novos questionamentos, do tipo: como apresentar a diversidade dos discursos que surgiram? O que priorizar na edição? Como incorporar o nosso próprio amadurecimento, no decorrer do projeto a esse processo mais amplo de conhecimento? A fim de tratar desse campo de questões, introduzimos o artigo, abordando alguns aspectos da construção da menopausa em nossa cultura. A seguir, relatamos como foi construído o nosso dia-a-dia durante a realização do projeto. Por fim, na conclusão, fazemos algumas reflexões sobre a experiência realizada, e discutimos alguns aspectos a respeito da produção de filmes e vídeos na área da saúde, principalmente no atinente à relação estabelecida entre a imagem e a medicina.
This work narrates the construction of a filmic intervention made in Praça da Sé and Praça do Carmo, in Sao Paulo downtown, which aimed to answer the following questions: what would happen if a peddler gave information about menopause in a public space in the city of Sao Paulo? Could we film what eventually happened? While the project was be¬ing realized and the shots were taken, along with some surprises, new questions arose, namely: how could we present the diversity of the discourses that appeared? To what should we give priority in the edition? How could we incorporate our own learning and achieved maturity to this wider process of knowledge? In order to deal with these matters, we start the article ap¬proaching some aspects of the concept of menopause in our culture. Afier that, we report how our daily activities were developed, and, finally, we propose some reflections about this experience, completing with a discussion on the production of movies and videos in the area of health, especially with respect to the relation between medicine and image.
