ABSTRACT

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to evaluate effect of moderate endurance training activity on cellular antiaging process by modulation of telomeraze enzyme content in cardiac tissue and penipheral blood eylymphocytes in male rats

Methods: Samples were rats provided by Pastear Institate of Iran. They were randomly assigned into two groups leacth composed of 8 rats

Results: 2 weeks ware allocated for adaptation to environment and changes of biological rhythm [1[st] week], and familiarity with treadmill [2[nd] week]. major protocal began after that, which includes a session of moderate daily exercise for fine days per week. Exercise continued for 16 weeks whilk the control group were sedentary. During the 1[st] eighth weeks speed of ranning on treadmill increased from 15m/min to 25m/min and reine from 15 minutes to 25 minutes progressirely, but in tensity was unchanged during the 2[nd] eighth weeks period. One day after and to the protocol, Samples were collected in fasting situation. the results showed that moderate endurance training Downloaded from jmciri.ir at 16:40 +0430 on Tuesday July 10[th] 2018 have a statistically significant effect on increasing telomerase enzyme content in cardiac tisswe [P=0/004], and lymphoeytes [p=0/004]

Conclusion: In Summany, resalts sugyested that moderate, regulaer physical activity [60-65% vozmax] have an induction effect in telomerase content and length stabilily, which in turn lead to cellular viability improvement and genomic stabilily that ploy an anti-aging role

ABSTRACT

Stray dogs are considered as an important health problem in societies because they can carry dangerous diseases such as hydatidosis, toxocariasis and coenurus cerebralis to humans and animals. Therefore, the study of helminthes infections in all parts of Iran for evaluation of infection state, and provision of the infection control programs is essential. The aim of this study, was to determine the prevalence of parasitic cestodes in stray dogs around Ilam city. In this study, 65 stray dogs were killed by shooting with the municipality officers and were dissected considering health rules. After laparotomy, internal organs are inspected, and bowels completely collected in separate containers containing 10% formaldehyde. Transferring the samples to the parasitological laboratory, the bowels were cut using forceps, and its contents passed through the sieve, and the worms were separated. Azo carmine and carminic acid staining was used for diagnosis of isolated cestodes. The number of 65 dogs, 54 dogs [83%] had at least one species of cestodes; that 32% [21 dogs] infected by Taenia ovis, 9% [6 dogs] by Echinococcus granulosus, 15.4% [10 dogs] by Taenia hydatigena, 20% [13 dogs] by Taenia multiceps, 18.5 /% [12 dogs] by Dipylidium caninum and 10.8% [7 dogs] by Mesocestoides lineatus. In this study, it was shown that helminthic rate in stray dogs is very high around Ilam. These parasites are important in terms of health and economic aspects. Therefore, it is more essential that we note to parasitic infections, to develop control programs

ABSTRACT

Objective: For improving efficiency and coping existing problems such as increasing demands for services, Long-Day organizing [extended work shifts] was applied by administrators in Farabi Eye Hospital. In new organizing system, MDs were working two mornings and two afternoon shifts instead of four mornings. The following study evaluated the impact of mentioned organizing method

Methods: This cross sectional study designed as a descriptive-comparative research that using before-after comparison. Visited outpatients, surgical operations and hospital indices were compared during one year before and one year after applying Long- Day organizing

Results: Although, account of outpatients' surgical operations increased significantly but inpatients' surgical operations and total operations [sum of the outpatient and inpatient operations] didn't show significant changes. Outpatient clinics showed a significant efficiency increasing. The quality of services did not have significant changes based on hospital indices during studied periods of time

Conclusion: Outpatient clinics' efficiency rose after applying Long-Day organizing as well as outpatient surgeries. It seems that Long- Day organizing method may be effective in outpatient clinics and operation theaters, however, more studies with more interventional methods are considered necessary
