ABSTRACT
Two samples of the essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation from leaves of Callistemon lanceolatus DC was analyzed by GC-MS. The oil yield was 0.70%. Fifty compounds were identified in the leaf oil. 1,8-cineole [51.22%], [E]-ocimene [22.89%], terpinyl acetate [7.46%] and beta-pinene [2.09%] were the major components representing 97.5% of the oil.
