ABSTRACT

The most common injuries to the eyes during general anaesthesia are corneal abrasions. Patients undergoing oral, maxillo-facial, dental eye and ENT surgeries are at an increased risk due to proximity of the eye to the area of surgery. We have reviewed the literature on the etiology of corneal injuries and discussed the techniques of eye protection
