ABSTRACT

Resumen El presente artículo es resultado de una investigación cuyo objetivo consistió en determinar la incidencia de los factores asociados al desarrollo de la comprensión lectora en estudiantes de noveno grado de la Institución Educativa Distrital Jesús Maestro Fe y Alegría de Barranquilla. Asumiendo que la comprensión lectora está presente en la vida como fuente de entendimiento y placer, esta investigación surge porque los docentes en aula han identificado que los estudiantes presentan dificultades en el proceso lector que pueden estar asociadas a factores académicos, socioculturales y personales. El diseño es de carácter mixto (cualitativo-cuantitativo) y las técnicas de recolección de información fueron: entrevista y encuestas con preguntas cerradas y abiertas. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 50 % de los estudiantes poseen la habilidad para comprender lo que leen, pero su contexto familiar no acompaña los procesos y en lo escolar no hay ambientes que motiven la lectura. Lo anterior se evidencia en su desempeño escolar. Ante este problema, la institución debe gestionar estrategias pedagógicas para fomentar procesos lectores en los que se integren las áreas del conocimiento, así como crear espacios para el desarrollo de la lectura y su comprensión.


Abstract This article is the result of research and its main work objective is to determine the incidence of the factors associated with the development of reading comprehension for ninth grade students of School District Jesús Maestro Fe y Alegría of Barranquilla. Based on the fact that reading comprehension is present in life as a source of understanding and pleasure, because when learners read, they are generally motivated to think and respond with answers; this research arises because teachers in the classroom identify those students that have difficulties in the reading process, which in turn may be associated with academic, cultural and personal factors that significantly affect the teaching-learning process.The design is of a mixed nature (qualitative - quantitative) and the techniques of data collection were made through interviews and surveys with closed and open questions. The results proved that 50 % of students have the ability to understand what they read, but from the familiar context does not accompany the process and from the school point of view no favorable environments encourage reading. This of course is evident in school performance thereof. Faced with this situation the institution must manage educational strategies to promote reading processes in the areas of knowledge, thus creating enough spaces for the development of integrated reading and understanding.

Este estudo descreve a primeira investigação de anticorpos para arbovírus em primatas não humanos do Novo Mundo no nordeste brasileiro. No período de março de 2008 a setembro de 2010 foram colhidos soros sanguíneos de 31 macacos-prego-galegos (Cebus flavius) de vida livre na Paraíba e de 100 macacos-prego (Cebus libidinosus) em cativeiro nos estados de Alagoas, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí e Rio Grande do Norte. Para a pesquisa de anticorpos utilizou-se o teste de inibição da hemaglutinação (IH), usando antígenos de 19 diferentes tipos de arbovírus, pertencentes aos gêneros Flavivirus,Alphavirus e Bunyavirus. As amostras de soro foram testadas nas diluições de 1:20 a 1:1280. Dentre as amostras examinadas, todas as de C. flavius foram negativas e 46 por cento das de C. libidinosus em cativeiro apresentaram anticorpos para arbovírus. Foram detectados anticorpos para nove (9/19) arbovírus. Foram observadas 17 reações heterotípicas, para dois ou mais vírus, do gênero Flavivirus, e 15 para o gênero Alphavirus, com títulos variando de 1:20 a 1:1280. Quinze amostras apresentaram reação monotípica para ILHV (n=4), MAYV (n=6), SLEV (n=1), ROCV (n=2), OROV (n=1) e MUCV (n=1). Estes resultados sugerem que houve intensa circulação de arbovírus na população estudada de macacos-prego em cativeiro.


This paper describes the first investigation of arbovirus antibodies on New World non-human primates from Northeast Brazil. From March 2008 to September 2010 blood serum samples were collected from 31 wild blond capuchin monkeys (Cebus flavius) from Paraíba and 100 captive capuchin monkeys from Alagoas, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí and Rio Grande do Norte. The haemagglutination-inhibition test (HI) was employed for 19 arbovirus of the Flavivirus,Alphavirus and Bunyavirus genus. Serum samples were tested from 1:20 to 1:1280 dilutions. Among the primates tested all C. flavius were negative and 46 percent C. libidinosus presented antibodies to arbovirus. Antibodies were detected for nine arbovirus (9/19). Seventeen heterotypic reactions were observed for at least two Or Flavirus and 15 for Alphavirus, at titers varying between 1:20 to 1:1280. Fifteen samples presented monotypic reaction for ILHV (n=4), MAYV (n=6), SLEV (n=1), ROCV (n=2), OROV (n=1) and MUCV (n=1). These results suggest that there was an intense arbovirus circulation in the studied population of captive capuchin monkeys.

ABSTRACT

Según la OMS los adolescentes son las personas comprendidas entre los 10 y 19 años de edad. En el sur de Quito, los adolescentes constituyen el 21 por ciento de la población y enfrentan diversos problemas: de tipo social como la violencia social y domiciliaria, pobreza, etc; de tipo cultural, como el bajo nivel de educación y la alta migración; de tipo económico con el bajo nivel de salario, malos servicios, poco desarrollo. Dado el elevado número de adolescentes que existen en el sur de Quito y por las manifestaciones, causas desencadenantes y distribución socio cultural de la depresión en este grupo etáreo, se realizó un estudio de corte transversal en los Barrios: Asistencia Social, Chimbacalle, Hierba Buena, La Forestal, Nueva Aurora, Solanda Integral y Unión de Ciudadelas...
