ABSTRACT
O estudo identificou as Tecnologias Assistivas (TA) para idosos com Doença de Alzheimer (DA), no Brasil e no exterior, e mostrou que as TAs são projetadas para idosos com DA no estágio leve e necessitam de auxilio de cuidadores. Discute o impacto social causado pela utilização destas tecnologias dentro do contexto nacional e analisa que, no Brasil, tais tecnologias carecem de investimentos e incentivos governamentais, tornando-se um desafio social, econômico e cultural para futura implementação no país.
The study identified the Assistive Technology (AT) for elderly people with Alzheimer's disease (AD) in Brazil and abroad, and has shown that TAs are designed for seniors with AD in mild stage and needing help from caregivers. Discusses the social impact caused by the use of these technologies within the national context and incentives, becoming a social, economic and cultural challenge for future implementation in the country.
