O início do relacionamento amoroso sob a perspectiva da moralidade: estudo comparativo entre mulheres de duas gerações / The beginning of the love relationship from the perspective of morality: a comparative study between women of two generations

Sob a perspectiva da moralidade, investigamos possíveis diferenças nos discursos de mulheres casadas em períodos distintos (1993 e 2013), sobre como conheceram seus parceiros e os motivos para decidirem iniciar um relacionamento amoroso com eles. Foram entrevistadas 15 mulheres em 1993 e, outras 15, em 2013, de 20 a 30 anos de idade, sem filhos e, de classe média. Priorizamos uma análise qualitativa dos dados e posteriormente realizamos comparação entre os dois grupos. Por meio dos resultados, verificamos que as mulheres entrevistadas em 1993 tendem a enfatizar os próprios sentimentos em relação ao parceiro ao decidir pelo relacionamento, enquanto as de 2013 priorizam as qualidades do companheiro que favorecem a boa convivência e que se aproximam de valores morais. Ademais, a decisão baseada em virtudes morais aumentou nas justificativas das mulheres entrevistadas em 2013, contudo foi pouco mencionada se comparada à frequência de outras justificativas. Consideramos que o presente estudo é relevante no que tange ao levantamento de novos conhecimentos sobre a escolha amorosa e sua relação com a moralidade e, ainda pode contribuir para elaboração de propostas de intervenção que visem a construção de relações respeitosas.

We investigated, from the perspective of morality, the different speeches of women living in conjugality in different periods (1993 and 2013) on how they met their partners and the reasons to initiate a loving relationship with them. Fifteen women were interviewed in 1993, and other 15 in 2013. They were between 20-30 years old, childless, and from middle class. We used qualitative analysis, and later we did a comparative analysis of both groups. Results showed that the women interviewed in 1993 tended to emphasize their own feelings in relation to their partner and their maturity when deciding to establish a relationship. While in the other group they prioritized the qualities of their companion that favor a harmonic coexistence. In addition, although little was mentioned, the decision based on moral virtues increased in the justifications of the women interviewed in 2013. The present study is relevant to the field of new studies on love affair choice and its relation with morality. It also contributes to the design of intervention practices among couples toward the construction of respectful relationships.

Aspectos Morais na Decisão para o Casamento Segundo Mulheres de Duas Gerações / Moral aspects in marriage decision according to two-generation women

Objetivamos comparar, sob a perspectiva da moralidade, os discursos de mulheres casadas em períodos distintos (1993 e 2013) em relação às justificativas por elas apresentadas para a decisão de se casarem. Para tanto, foram entrevistadas 30 mulheres casadas, de 20 a 30 anos, sendo que metade delas foi entrevistada em 1993 e a outra metade em 2013. Para análise dos dados priorizamos uma abordagem qualitativa. Nos resultados identificamos que as mulheres entrevistadas no tempo mais atual ressaltam aspectos práticos para a sua escolha, tais como estabilidade financeira, e o conhecimento mútuo do casal. Já as entrevistadas do período passado apresentaram predominantemente justificativas relacionadas ao campo dos desejos, como o desejo que ela e seu parceiro tinham de estar junto, e também o desejo de outras pessoas sobre a realização do casamento. Ademais, as participantes enfatizaram as justificativas relacionadas às características, sentimentos, desejos e necessidades comuns ao casal. Consideramos que esses resultados podem fornecer subsídios teóricos para elaboração de intervenções profissionais que visem a proporcionar a construção de relacionamentos amorosos respeitosos e duradouros em oposição à atual fragilidade dos vínculos

We aim to compare, from the perspective of morality, the speeches of married women in different periods (1993 and 2013) in relation to their justifications on their decision to get married. To that end, 30 married women, aged between 20 and 30, were interviewed, half of whom were interviewed in 1993 and the other half in 2013. To analyze the data, we applied a qualitative approach as proposed by Delval (2002). In the results we identified that women interviewed in 2013 highlight the practical aspects of their choice, such as financial stability, and the couple's mutual acquaintance. The interviewees from 1993 have predominantly presented more personal justifications, such as the will to be together, and also the will of other people. In addition, the participants emphasized the justifications related to the characteristics, feelings, wishes and to the couple's common needs. We believe that these results can provide theoretical inputs for the elaboration of professional interventions to support the construction of respectful and lasting love relationships in opposition to the current fragility of human bonds
