ABSTRACT

Thirty trunk flaps were used to repair upper extremity defects. The defects were either post traumatic or post-excisional of contracted scars after deep burn. The flaps were used essentially to cover the exposed deep vital structures as vessels, nerves, tendons or bones. Also in contracted scars they were used to avoid recontracture. The flaps were raised as fasciocutaneous or myocutaneous according to the characters of the defects
