ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the effect of inverse ratio ventilation (IRV) combined with positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) in infants undergoing thoracoscopic surgery with single lung ventilation (OLV) for lung cystadenomas.@*METHODS@#A total of 66 infants undergoing thoracoscopic surgery with OLV for lung cystadenomas in our hospital from February, 2018 to February, 2019 were randomized into conventional ventilation groups (group N, =33) and inverse ventilation group (group R, =33). Hemodynamics and respiratory parameters of the infants were recorded and arterial blood gas analysis was performed at 15 min after two lung ventilation (TLV) (T), OLV30 min (T), OLV60 min (T), and 15 min after recovery of TLV (T). Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was collected before and after surgery to detect the expression level of advanced glycation end product receptor (RAGE).@*RESULTS@#Sixty-three infants were finally included in this study. At T and T, Cdyn, PaO and OI in group R were significantly higher ( < 0.05) and Ppeak, PaCO and PA-aO were significantly lower than those in group N ( < 0.05). There was no significant difference in HR or MAP between the two groups at T and T ( > 0.05). The level of RAGE significantly increased after the surgery in both groups ( < 0.05), and was significantly lower in R group than in N group ( < 0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#In infants undergoing thoracoscopic surgery with OLV for pulmonary cystadenoma, appropriate IRV combined with PEEP does not affect hemodynamic stability and can increases pulmonary compliance, reduce the peak pressure, and improve oxygenation to provide pulmonary protection.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum adiponectin (APN) and inflammatory markers, nutritional status and severe acute exacerbation in late stage in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods:One hundred and sixty-three male patients with AECOPD from July 2017 to April 2019 in Wusong Hospital of Baoshan District, Shanghai City were selected. The patients were divided into low APN group (serum APN ≤ 102.38 μg/L, 97 cases) and high APN group (serum APN>102.38 μg/L, 66 cases). The interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), hemoglobin, albumin, prealbumin, body mass index (BMI) and number of severe acute exacerbation in 1 year′ follow-up were compared between 2 groups, and the correlation between APN and inflammatory markers, nutritional status and number of severe acute exacerbation were analyzed. Results:The BMI, hemoglobin, prealbumin and albumin in low APN group were significantly higher than those in high APN group: (23.20 ± 3.26) kg/m 2 vs. (20.77 ± 3.78) kg/m 2, (133.23 ± 17.13) g/L vs. (125.68 ± 20.83) g/L, (185.36 ± 57.60) g/L vs. (148.83 ± 64.79) g/L, (37.09 ± 4.06) g/L vs. (33.77 ± 5.86) g/L, and there were statistical differences ( P<0.01 or<0.05); there were no statistical differences in total protein, IL-6, IL-8, CRP and ESR between 2 groups ( P>0.05). APN showed negative correlation with BMI, hemoglobin, albumin and prealbumin ( r = -0.42, -0.28, -0.33 and -0.31; P<0.01); there was no correlation with IL-6, IL-8, ESR and CRP ( P>0.05). The rate of 4 times of severe acute exacerbation in 1 year′ follow-up in low APN group was significantly lower than that in high APN group: 8.25% (8/97) vs. 22.73% (15/66), and there was statistical difference ( χ2 = 6.79, P<0.05). Conclusions:The AECOPD patients with low APN have better nutritional status and less exacerbation. Serum APN can be used as a predictive index of severe acute exacerbation in AECOPD patients

ABSTRACT

Objective To studythe labor analgesia effect incombination of water acupuncture andremifen-tanil patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) and impact on mother and baby. Methods 90 Ninety sin-gle birth primiparous women were randomly divided into three groups (n = 30), groupⅠ, groupⅡ, groupⅢ. Content of β-endorphin, stress hormone levels,VAS scores were recorded at T0 and T1; adverse circumstance, Apgar score of newborn and neonatal behavioral neurological assessment were recorded. Results Comparing with groupⅢ or T0, at T1 β-EP in the groupⅠwas gone up, while ACTH、 COR and VAS scores were lower in the groupⅠand groupⅡ; adverse circumstance in the groupⅠreduced than that in the groupⅡ. The VAS scores inThe groupⅠand groupⅡand Apgar score and NBNA assessment in three groups were not significantly different. Conclusion Combination of water acupuncture and remifentanil patient-controlled intravenous analgesia iseffec-tive. Ithas no adverse effects on mother and baby. It is an ideal method of labor analgesia.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of linear polarized infrared light irradiation on the proliferation of primary cultured rabbit articular chondrocytes irradiation.

METHODSPrimary cultured rabbit articular chondrocytes were irradiated with linear polarized infrared light irradiation (Super Lizer) at the power intensity of 20% (360 mW) to 100% (1800 mW) for 5 min per day for 5 days, and CCK-8 assay was used to measure the proliferative activity of the chondrocytes after the exposures.

RESULTSThe D(450) values of the cells irradiated at the power intensity of 60% (1080 mW) and 80% (1440 mW) (1.88∓0.11 and 1.99∓0.05, respectively) were significantly greater than that of the control cells (0.95∓0.38, P<0.05). The irradiation with Super Lizer at lower (20%, 360 mW and 40%, 720 mW) or higher (100%, 1800 mW) power intensities did not cause significant increases of the D(450) values. Compared with the control group, Super Lizer irradiation at the power intensities of 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% resulted in increment ratios of chondrocyte viability of (48.75∓15.4 )%, (67.02∓29.61)%, (97.93∓11.57)%, and (108.52∓5.81)%, respectively, but at 100% power intensity (1800 mW), the irradiation caused a lowered chondrocyte viability increment ratio of (62.84∓31.12)%.

CONCLUSIONLinear polarized infrared light irradiation can promote the proliferation of chondrocytes in an intensity-dependent manner, and the strongest effect occurs with the irradiation power intensity of 80% (1440 mW).
