Ventriculus terminalis cyst in an adult: MR imaging

We report a case of intramedullary cyst within the conus medullaris incidentally found at MR imaging of the lumbar spine in an adult patient complaining of low back pain. The location, signal characteristics, and lack of contrast enhancement of the cyst, in the absence of clinical signs and symptoms related to the spinal cord are diagnostic of ventriculus terminalis cyst and can differentiate it from cystic spinal cord neoplasms

Idiopathic spinal epidural lipomatosis: case report and review of the literature

Idiopathic spinal epidural lipomatosis [ISEDL] is a rare condition. Spinal epidural lipomatosis [SEDL] is usually associated with the use of steroids as treatment. It may also result from elevation of endogenous steroids. The term idiopathic epidural lipomatosis is used only when there is no exogenous or endogenous steroid elevated level.
