ABSTRACT

This work was designed to study the effect of aerosol Beta- agonist [salbutamol] on the forced expiratory data [FEV, FVC, and FEV./ FVC] in smoker and nonsmoker patients with obstructive pulmonary diseases [their basal FEV values were equal or less than 65%]. This study showed that the percento change in forced expiratory data were significantly less in smokers than non- smokers. It is concluded that the narrowing of the airways in smoker patients is less reversible due to the smoking
