ABSTRACT
A field experiment was carried out at Crop Research Farm, Naini Agriculture Institute, Department of Agronomy, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during Rabi, 2022 on sandy loamy soil. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design, Replicated thrice, consisting of ten treatments i.e., Rhizobium 20 g + Boron 0.25%, Rhizobium 20 g + Boron 0.5%, Rhizobium 20 g + Boron 0.75%, PSB 20 g + Boron - 0.25%, PSB 20 g + Boron - 0.5%, PSB 20 g + Boron – 0.75%, Rhizobium 10 g + PSB 10 g + Boron - 0.25%, Rhizobium 10 g + PSB 10 g + Boron - 0.5%, Rhizobium 10 g + PSB 10 g + Boron - 0.75%, and Control Plot. The field experiment result revealed that Rhizobium 10 g + PSB 10 g + Boron - 0.75% has significantly increased the growth parameters viz., Plant height (46.54 cm), Number of nodules/plant (16.44), Plant dry weight (15.37 g/plant), pods/plant (55.61), seeds/pod (2.52), test weight (265.6 g), Seed yield (1.99 t/ha), Stover yield (5.95 t/ha) and Harvest index (25.06%). The economics of experiment, i.e., maximum gross return (106464.00 INR/ha), net return (76796 INR/ha) and B:C ratio (2.58) was also recorded in Rhizobium 10 g + PSB 10 g + Boron - 0.75%.
ABSTRACT
During Kharif 2022, a field experiment was done on sandy loamy soil at Crop Research Farm, Naini Agriculture Institute, Department of Agronomy, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The experiment was designed in Randomised Block Design and replicated three times, using ten hybrids, R-205, R-210, R-212, R-218, R-242, R-248, R-256, R-300, R-305, and R-311. Results indicates that R-305 significantly enhanced the growth parameters Days to 50% Flowering (74.66 DAT), Days to maturity (106.93 DAT), Filled grains/panicle (175.82), Unfilled grains/panicle (48.39), and Grain yield/hill (28.82 g/ha) in the field trial. R-305 also had the highest gross return (INR 200625/ha), net return (INR 151579/ha), and B:C ratio (3.09). R-311 had the shortest amount of Days to 50% flowering (68.00 DAT), Days to maturity (92.71 DAT), and unfilled grains/panicle (27.25). It was determined that the hybrid R-305 produced the highest grain yield. It also achieved the highest gross return, net return, and B:C ratio.
ABSTRACT
Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) of the adrenal gland is extremely rare. Most of them occur in association with neurofi bromatosis, ganglioneuroma or as part of a composite tumor such as pheochromocytoma. Only seven cases of MPNST of the adrenal gland have been reported in the literature till date. Discriminating this entity from other soft tissue sarcomas and gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the adrenal gland has important diagnostic and therapeutic implications. Moreover, the tumor size and pattern of expression for certain immunohistochemical markers may serve as independent predictors of aggressiveness. Herein we present a 24-years-old male with features of Von Recklinghausen’s disease who presented with large left adrenal gland malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor.
ABSTRACT
Undifferentiated (embryonal) sarcoma of the liver is a rare primary malignant tumor of the liver occurring almost exclusively in childhood with characterisitic findings on gross and microscopy. Careful sampling of the tumor shows various immature undifferentiated elements and infiltration of the tumor into the surrounding capsule. CT findings could be suggestive of a hamartoma, as in our case. We report a case of hepatic embryonal sarcoma in a ten-year old male child presenting with an abdominal mass.

Aggressive angiomyxoma is a rare, locally invasive mesenchymal tumor, occurring predominantly in the pelvic-perineal region of adults and carries a high risk for local relapse and hence the need to differentiate it from the other mesenchymal tumors occurring in this region. Presentation as a pedunculated polyp, like in our case, is unusual for this rare tumor. Except for positive surgical margins, there are no clinical or histological means for predicting the tumor recurrence. A diligent long-term follow-up is mandatory. Though rare, this tumor needs to be considered in the differential diagnosis of vulval polyps.

A total of 37 patients of unilateral fresh central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) of less than one month duration were examined and re-evaluated after 8 weeks. All eyes with relative afferent pupillary defect (RAPD) < or = 0.6 log units with edge light pupil cycle time (ELPCT) of 925 +/- 94 ms, visual acuity > or = 6/60 with minimal field defects proved to be of nonischemic CRVO, while eyes with RAPD > or = 0.9 log units with ELPCT of 4005 +/- 712 ms, visual acuity 3/60 with marked field defects proved to be of ischemic CRVO with evidence of retinal ischemia on fluorescein angiography. RAPD and ELPCT were found to be extremely reliable indicators for early differentiation of ischemic from nonischemic CRVO and the values remained stable over a period of time. The electroretinography (ERG) correlated well with these parameters.
