ABSTRACT

We developed a new, simple, sensitive method for determination Enalapril Maleate [EM] by formation yellow complex between Enalapril Maleate and Bromocresol green [BCG]. The complex absorption maximum was at lambda max = 417 nm. The optimum conditions for complex formation were the buffer volume of HC1+KC1 0.2M for each [2-3] ml and 5 ml of Bromocresol green 1.10[-3] M which was enough for complete complex formation when the concentration of Enalapril Maleate was 10 mg/L. The linear relationship between the absorbance and the concentration of Enalapril Maleate was in the range of 5-35 mg/L, molecular molar absorsivity was 25125 L.mol[-1].cm[-1], the molar ratio [Indicator, drug] was [1:1]. This new method had offered a determination of Enalapril Maleate with a high accuracy and an authenticity for the analytical results. The minimal concentration could determine was 1 mg/L with relative standard deviation does not exceed 2.86%. We determined Enalapril Maleate by this method either in its raw material or pharmaceutical form without any interference with auxiliary excepients or Hydrochlorothiazide in its present case

ABSTRACT

The aim of this research is the evaluation of the effects of the some alcoholic drinks on the esthetic restorative materials. Forty disc shaped samples of light curing composite [A 3.5 Te-Econom, Vivadent] were prepared and all samples were light-cured [Cromalux- E Halogen Curing light Unit mega-phsic Dental] for a total of 40 sec. to complete photo-polymerization. The samples were divided into eight groups. Each group was stored in the 5 ml alcoholic drinks as [Whisky, Arak, Beer, Red wine, Anbaria] deionized water and alcohol for 24 hours. The differences of disc weight were measured by sensitive analyzer scale. Then the samples were tested by JXA- 84 A Electron Probe Microanalyzer with 10X, 200X, 1000X magnificent. Absorption spectra of aqueous solution in the presence of different concentration of alcohol [3.5 %, 5.5%, 12%, 35%, 42%, 53%, 90%] was studied by spectrophotometer [UV-Vis]. It was found absorption peaks in the range 225-375 nm, when the concentration of alcohol are more than 35%. From analysis of the results it is clear that high concentration alcoholic solution will increase the solubility of the esthetic restoration. The samples were immersed in the high concentration of alcoholic solution as [35%-42%-53%-90%] showed great differences in the weight when compared with low concentration groups. The samples were immersed in Arak and Alcohol had shown cracks on the surface of restoration by 200X magnificent. And all samples had shown gaps on the surface without the samples were immersed in the deionized water, Beer and Wine. The increase of the concentration of the alcohol in some drinks as [Arak, Anbaria, Koniac, Whisky] would caused failure in the esthetic restoration. It is concluded that drinks with high concentration of Alcohol can damage resin esthetic restoration, thus it is recommended to not use these types of drinks to take care of esthetic restoration in the mouth alcoholic patients
