ABSTRACT

Electro boa acupuncture (EBA) and electro acupuncture (EA) to rehabilitate the motor function for hemiplegic patients caused by cerebral infarction. Objective: (1) Describe the clinical characteristic of hemiplegic patients caused by cerebral infarction. (2) Evaluate the rehabilitation of motor function in Hemiplegic patients acording to clinical characteristics. Method: 100 hemiplegic patients was selected accidentaly. 50 hemiplegic patients caused by cerebral infarction was applied EBA , and 50 hemiplegic patients was applied EA. The result of treatment was compared after 30 days Resuls: Majority of patien was over 60 years old. In EBA group very good result (recovery) was 30%, good effect 56%; in EA group very good result (recovery) was 18%, good effect 58%. According to Orgogozo and Barthel scale, after treatment, group of patients with EBA, the indexes are all higher than group with EA. Conclusion: EBA to rehabilitate the motor function for hemiplegic patients caused by cerebral infarction has better results than EA.

ABSTRACT

This study compared goitre surgery in 100 patients with anesthesia acupuncture with 55 patients with cervical plexus superficial anesthesia. The studied patients were between 30-50 year old with goitres classified from II to IV degree, in which III degree goitres were prevalent (67%). The acupuncture points GI4, PC6, TR17 and ST12 were applied. 92% of cases were assessed to attain the A level of anesthesia, the remains were the B level. The anesthesia acupuncture exhibited more effectively in small goitres than in big ones (the anesthesia A level was 100% of cases of II degree goitre operation, whereas was only 66.7% in anesthesia acupunture for IV degree goitre operation), independing on the nature of goitres. The anesthesia acupuncture induced an anesthetic outcome better than cervical plexus superficial anesthesia

ABSTRACT

A study performed on 120 patients who underwent a gastric surgery under an anesthesia with associsted acupuncture. The indicators of pulse, blood persure, breathing rhythms, blood saturation of oxygene were increased correspondly in comparing with those before the surgery. Immediately first after the operation, these indicators returned to normal level. 30 min after the acupuncture anesthesia, endomorphine level enhanced by 163%, acetycholine by 237,59%…i.e higher in blood than that before the acupuncture.

ABSTRACT

Study on 120 patients having ureterstonectomy and bladderstonectomy anesthesia with acupuncture anesthesia showed that: in group of acupuncture anesthesia combined with supporting medicines (AACSM) pulsation increased average 9 cycles per minute, systolic BP increased average 8 mmHg, breathing rhythm increased average 1 time per minute, oxygen saturation in blood of patient seem unchageable during the time of operation. The anesthesia level A and B were 86.7%, the same for group of SA (90%). After acupuncture anesthesia, pain threshold of patient in AACSM group were 2.23 (K=2.23) higher than those of patient in group applying acupuncture anesthesia with out supporting medicine (K=1.95).

ABSTRACT

Study on 216 patients of drug addicts were treated by electro accupuncture shown that: the majority of drug addicts were 21 to 40 years old. It was rare for man become addicts at the age of under 20 and over 40. Incidence of addicts in cities was higher than those in countries side. Jobless person was easy to become drug addicts. Heavy addicts and moderate one were taking drug with sniffing and injection. The drug addicts were treated by electro acupuncture, and results as follow: A level (very good) taken up 92.6%, B level (good) taken up 7.4%. Symptoms of withdrawal syndrom after 4 days and 8 days in duration of treatment remarkably reduced (p<0.01). After treatment, content of beta - endorphinemia statistically increased (p<0.01) in compare with before treatment.

ABSTRACT

155 patients with thyroid tumors were operated under acupuncture anaesthesia associated with medicaments (group 1) and undergone topical anesthesia in superficiel cervical plexus area (group 2). Observation showed that in the course of vascular, operation, pulse, blood presure and respiratory rhythm increased in both two groups but in group 1, these indices were less increased than in group 2 (in average, mean pulse increased by 4 cycles/minute, max. blood pressure increased by 5mmHg, min. blood pressure 3mmHg, respiratory rythm 0,6 times/minute. After the anesthetic acupuncture, beta endorphine level increased dramatically (45,25pg/ml) versus before that (35,58pg/ml) acetyl choline level increased by 273% and catecholamin by 267% versus before that

ABSTRACT

Electro-acupuncture was applied for 149 perceptive deaf children. The control group included 43 deaf children treated by speical education method. Results showed that: in the group of electro-acupuncture, 53.3% had got improvement, higher than the group of special education by 23.3%. The improvement rate was higher in mild deaf group, than in severe group. It was also higher in acquired deaf subjects than in congenital subjects. In the deaf caused by “can dom hoa cuong” (aggressive fire of liver and bile), improvement level was higher than the deaf caused by “than am hu” (failure of kidney yinn). The treatment with more courses had got higher improvement than with less courses.

ABSTRACT

Elecotroacupunture was applied on Tuc tam ly site in 50 healthy persons aged 19-25, some organs were affected on cerebroelectrogramme (CEG), on 2 hemispheres wave indices varied (alphawave increased 10-15%, beta, theta, delta decreased 3-5%). Acetylcholin level increased by 210%, catecholamin 227% in comparing with those before the acupuncture. Inhibition of transmission through monosynapse reflexe at myelospinal level was reduced (latent duration after the electroacupuncture at tuc tam ly site was 40ms, prolonged by 35ms in comparing with that before the acupuncture. The amplitude of H wave after acupuncture was 0.3mV, imcomparing with 1.4mV before that).

ABSTRACT

By1 time and 8 times , electroacupuncture (EA) was performed in and out of Phongtri site (GB20) of 55 healthy persons aged 20-27 years. Out of GB20, EA did not make frequency, amplitude and EEG indices changed in comparing with those before acupuncture, while in GB20 site, EA created the changes in frequency, amplitude and EEG indices in occipital and temporal areas. Upon EA , alpha wave index increased in average 14%, amplitude increased by 4 microV; beta wave index reduced by 2% in average, amplitude reduced by 3 microV. After electro- acupuncture theta and delta waves reduced 4% in average and amplitude reduced 3 microV in average
