ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore therapeutic effects of rosuvastatin and atorvastatin on patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)angina pectoris and their influence on blood lipids. Methods:A total of 100 CHD inpatients with sta-ble angina pectoris(SAP)were selected.According to random control table, they were randomly and equally divid-ed into rosuvastatin group and atorvastatin group. Both groups received corresponding lipid-lowering medication based on routine treatment of CHD angina pectoris for four weeks.Clinical and ECG therapeutic effect were ob-served,blood lipid levels were measured before and after treatment, adverse drug reactions were observed and medi-ation cost was recorded in two groups. Results:Compared with atorvastatin group, there were significant rise in clinical and ECG total effective rate[(76% vs.92%),(60% vs.84%)],and significant reduction in mediation cost[(12369.94 ± 231.81)RMB vs.(11784.52 ± 206.97)RMB]in rosuvastatin group,P<0.05 or <0.01. There were no significant difference in blood lipid levels between two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05 all),and all of them were inside normal range. There was no significant difference in incidence rate of adverse drug reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with atorvastatin, rosuvastatin can more significantly prevent onset of CHD angina pectoris, and it's safe, effective, and hospitalization cost is significantly reduction.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To observe therapeutic efficacy of adjunctive treatment of Shenghua decoction for abortion in the ear-ly pregnancy. METHODS:228 patients with abortion in the early pregnancy collected from our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 114 cases in each group. Control group was given mifepristone 25 mg,bid, and addition-al misoprostol 600 μg on the forth day,qd,for 4 days. Observation group was additionally given misoprostol orally on the forth day,2 h later,Shenghua decoction, bid, for consecutive 7 days. The rate of abortion, bleeding time, amount of bleeding, normal activity time after abortion, and the incidence of ADR were observed in 2 groups. RESULTS:The rate of abortion in observation group was 96.5%,which was higher than that of control group (85.1%),with statistical significance (P<0.05). The bleeding time, amount of bleeding and normal activity time of observation group were significantly lower or shorter then those of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The incidence of ADR in observation group was significantly lower than control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The adjunctive treatment of Shenghua decoction have good effect on abortion in the early pregnancy with less ADR.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical features and to identify the DAX-1 gene mutation in a Chinese kindred with X-linked adrenal hypoplasia congenital(AHC).

METHODSClinical data and peripheral blood samples were obtained from the affected individuals and their relatives. The genomic DNA was isolated from whole blood. Four pairs of primers were used to amplify the two exons of the DAX-1 gene, and PCR products were purified and sequenced directly. Sequencing results were compared to the human DAX-1 sequence in the public database.

RESULTSA novel hemizygous frameshift mutation (428delG) in exon 1 of the DAX-1 gene was found in both patients (the index case and his cousin). Some clinical features such as the age of onset were different although these 2 patients carried the same mutation. Three females in the family, including the mothers of the 2 patients and their grandmother were carriers of this mutation. No such mutation was detected in other healthy persons in the family.

CONCLUSIONThe result suggested that X-linked AHC in the kindred was caused by a novel mutation of 428delG in the DAX-1 gene, and the same mutation can give rise to variable phenotypes.
