Este estudo teve como objetivo realizar a tradução e a adaptação transcultural do Inventário de Lazer Sério ­ SLIM (Serious Leisure Inventory and Measure) e investigar evidências iniciais de validade de construto (confiabilidade e estrutura interna). Participaram 361 universitários (63% de mulheres), com idades entre 18 e 26 anos. A análise fatorial confirmatória indicou adequação do modelo de 18 fatores, com índices de ajuste apresentando valores próximos aos do artigo original [χ2/gl = 1,95; CFI = 0,90; TLI = 0,89; RMSEA = 0,05 (0,04-0,05); SRMR = 0,05]. Os índices de confiabilidade desses fatores variaram entre a 0,73 e 0,94. Conclui-se que o SLIM-Brasil possui evidências de validade satisfatórias para sua aplicação em jovens brasileiros. Com este instrumento à disposição em língua portuguesa, é importante realizar estudos na perspectiva do lazer sério em outras faixas etárias

This study aimed to conduct translation and transcultural adaptation of the Serious Leisure Inventory and Measure (SLIM) and investigate initial evidence of construct validity (reliability and internal structure). Participants were 361 university students (63% female) aged 18-26. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated the adequacy of the 18-factor model, with adjustment indexes presenting values close to those of the original article [χ2 / gl = 1.95; CFI = 0.90; TLI = 0.89; RMSEA = 0.05 (0.04-0.05); SRMR = 0.05]. Reliability indexes for these factors varied from 0.73 to 0.94. SLIM-Brazil has satisfactory validity evidence to be used with young Brazilians. With this instrument available in Portuguese, it would be important to carry out studies from the perspective of serious leisure with other age groups

Participaron 361 universitarios (63% de mujeres), con edades entre 18 y 26 años. El análisis factorial confirmatorio indicó adecuación del modelo de 18 factores, con índices de ajuste presentando valores próximos a los del artículo original [χ2/gl = 1,95; CFI = 0,90; TLI = 0,89; RMSEA = 0,05 (0,04-0,05); SRMR = 0,05]. Los índices de confiabilidad de estos factores variaron entre 0,73 y 0,94. Se concluye que el SLIM-Brasil posee evidencias de validez satisfactorias para su aplicación en jóvenes brasileños. A carreira no lazer: uma possibilidade a partir da perspectiva do serious leisure / The leisure career: a possibility from serious leisure perspective

O artigo propõe a apresentação do conceito de carreira no lazer como uma possibilidade a partir da Perspectiva do Lazer Sério (PLS) do sociólogo canadense Robert A. Stebbins. São apresentados os fundamentos teóricos do conceito, seus elementos básicos e as contribuições de diferentes pesquisadores do lazer sobre seu desenvolvimento. As diversas formulações a respeito da carreira no lazer encontram-se predominantemente na língua inglesa, o que pode ser considerado um obstáculo para o entendimento e discussão no Brasil. Assim, o principal objetivo do artigo é o de divulgar um conhecimento científico que, embora esteja presente em contexto internacional com frequência, ainda tem pouco espaço no contexto dos estudos e discussões brasileiros sobre o lazer.

The article proposes the concept of career presentation in leisure as a possibility from the Serious Leisure Perspective (SLP), by the Canadian sociologist Robert A. Stebbins. The theoretical foundations of the concept, its basic elements and contributions from different researchers at leisure on their development are presented. The various formulations about the career in leisure are predominantly in the English language, which can be considered an obstacle to understanding and discussion in Brazil. Thus, the main objective of this article is to disseminate this scientific knowledge which, although present in the international context often still have little space in the discussions and studies on leisure in Brazil.

O presente artigo visa apresentar o serious leisure, do sociólogo Robert A. Stebbins. Trata-se de uma proposição teórica sobre uma forma de lazer que, aliada a outras duas formas ? casual leisure e project-based leisure ?, constituem uma perspectiva teórica mais ampla. Apresentamos uma síntese de cada uma dessas três formas e acrescentamos um levantamento inicial que fizemos sobre os estudos brasileiros que se utilizaram dessa teoria em suas análises sobre atividades de lazer. O objetivo é oferecer dados iniciais para interessados em desenvolver estudos sobre o serious leisure ou mesmo sobre as outras duas formas de lazer. Também visamos acrescentar elementos que podem ser úteis às discussões sobre atividades que poucas vezes são enfocadas através de teorias classicamente utilizadas no Brasil. Por fim, tecemos nossas considerações sobre a relativa ausência de uma perspectiva sobre o lazer, a do serious leisure que entendemos como merecedora de atenção, compreensão e análise, visando incrementar amplamente o desenvolvimento e os debates sobre os estudos do lazer no Brasil.

This article presents the serious leisure, from Robert A. Stebbins. It is a theoretical proposition about a form of leisure that together with other two ways - casual and leisure project-based leisure - constitutes a broader theoretical perspective. We present a summary of each of these three forms and add an initial survey we did on Brazilian studies that used this theory in his analysis of leisure activities. Our goal is to provide baseline data for those interested in developing studies on the serious leisure or even on the other two forms of recreation. We also aim to add elements that may be useful to discussions of activities that are seldom focused through theories classically used in Brazil. Finally, we weave our considerations about the relative absence of aleisure perspective on what we understand as worthy of attention, comprehension and analysis, largely aimed at increasing the development and debates about leisure studies in Brazil.
