ABSTRACT

Es necesario recuperar el respeto por el paciente, por la persona humana doliente. El médico es un servidor de los demás. Volvamos a ser médicos, volvamos al Juramento Hipocrático: en pureza y santidad mantendré mi vida y mi arte. Ser médico es mucho más que tener conocimientos científicos, un científico sin humanidad puede ser fácilmente un bárbaro ilustrado. Es posible un ejercicio científico y humanístico de la medicina, debemos buscarlo y ayudar a establecerlo. Hay que ser un buen médico y un médico bueno.


It is necessary to restore respect for the patient, each suffering human being. The physician is a servant to others. Let us return to being physicians, and back to the Hippocratic Oath: in purity and holiness I will keep my life and my art. Being a doctor is much more than havingscientific knowledge, a scientist lacking humanity can easily become an illustrated barbarian. A humane and scientific exercise of the medical profession is possible we must strive for, and make our dearest effort to establish. It is mandatory to be a good doctor and a doctor that does good.
