ABSTRACT
A presente dissertação debruça-se na reflexão sobre as possibilidades de aproximação entre cultura e promoção da saúde. Parte-se do entendimento de que a promoção da saúde em sua interface com a cultura resguarda grande potência para a construção de percursos emancipatórios, favorecendo a produção de saúde e vida. É proposto o conceito de ação cultural, desenvolvido por Paulo Freire, como chave de leitura crítica para contribuir na referida articulação. Este estudo consiste em percurso teórico, desenvolvido através de uma revisão de literatura de artigos brasileiros que tratam da temática. Buscou-se, com isso, a construção de um estado da arte sobre a aproximação desses campos. Os artigos selecionados foram analisados através de análise de conteúdo temática proposta por Bardin, em diálogo com o marco teórico de referência. Verificou-se que, embora coexistam tendências distintas e conflitantes no campo da promoção da saúde, que emergem inclusive concomitantemente em algumas produções, a maioria das proposições aponta para o horizonte emancipatório, da produção de autonomia e participação social, onde a interface com a cultura se faz particularmente potente. Constatou-se ainda que há uma polissemia do conceito de cultura nas produções analisadas e que o mesmo não é debatido em profundidade. Observou-se que muitos artigos tecem essa articulação a partir da educação em saúde, em especial, pautados em apontamentos centrais da educação popular de base freireana, porém sem, em geral, explicitar essa referência. Conclui-se que o conceito de ação de cultural, concebido como ação política, dialógica e coletiva pode ser um constructo relevante para subsidiar a produção de práticas transformadoras. Também se evidencia a importância do aprofundamento de estudos que tratem de ambas as temáticas, cultura e promoção da saúde, haja visto as inconsistências teórico-conceituais verificadas.
This dissertation focuses on the possibilities of approaching culture and health promo-tion. It is based on the understanding that the promotion of health in its interface with culture safeguards great power for the construction of emancipatory paths, favoring the production of health and life. The concept of cultural action, developed by Paulo Freire, is proposed as a critical reading key to contribute to this articulation. This study consists of a theoretical course, developed from a literature review of Brazilian articles that deal with the theme. It was sought, therefore, to construct a "state of the art" about the approximation of these fields. The selected articles were analyzed through analysis of thematic content proposed by Bardin, in dialogue with the theoretical frame of reference. It was verified that, although there are different and conflicting tendencies in the field of health promotion, which emerge even concomitantly in some productions, most of the propositions point to the emancipatory horizon, based on the production of autonomy and social participation, where the interface with culture becomes par-ticularly powerful. It was also observed that there is a polysemy of the concept of culture in the analyzed productions and that it is not discussed in depth. It was observed that many articles link this articulation with health education, in particular, based on central notes of Freirean popular education, but without, in general, making such reference. It is concluded that the con-cept of cultural action, conceived as political, dialogical and collective action, can be a relevant construct to subsidize the production of transformative practices. It is also evident the im-portance of deepening studies that deal with both issues, culture and health promotion, given the theoretical-conceptual inconsistencies verified.
