Aspectos etiopatogenicos, clinicos, diagnosticos y terapeuticos de 40 pacientes con absceso hepatico amebiano diagnosticados en un lapso de 22 anos. Se realizo tratamiento medico (antiamebianos y antibioticos) en 19 casos e intervenciones quirurgicas en 21. La mortalidad registrada fue del 40%
