ABSTRACT
A lesão de Dieulafoy é definida como um ramo arterial primário anormalmente largo e tortuoso, que se estende na submucosa sem diminuição de seu calibre ou ramificações. Acomete predominantemente a pequena curvatura do estômago e possui uma apresentação clínica de hemorragias gastrointestinais maciças e recorrentes. É descrito caso de hematêmese massiva recorrente por malformação gástrica de Dieulafoy em paciente masculino, 43 anos, sem comorbidades, cujo tratamento ocorreu por cirurgia convencional de emergência após insucesso da abordagem endoscópica.
Dieulafoys lesion is defined as a primary arterial branch unusually wide and tortuous, extending in the submucosa without reducing its size or branches. It affects mainly the lesser curvature of the stomach and has a clinical presentation of massive and recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding. It is described a case of recurrent massive haematemesis by gastric Dieulafoy malformation in male patient, 43 years old, without comorbidities, which was treated with conventional emergency surgery after failure of endoscopic approach.
