ABSTRACT

Tripartite motif-containing protein 28 is a kind of macromolecular protein with E3 ubiquitin ligase, which belongs to an important member of the TRIM protein family. As a new molecular biomarker, it has attracted wide attention. TRIM28 is highly expressed in many kinds of malignant tumors, which is closely related to clinicopathological features, and is also involved in biological behaviors such as proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion of tumor cells. TRIM28 may be a potential marker and therapeutic target for clinical diagnosis and prognosis of tumors. This study reviews the structure and biological function of TRIM28, its relationship with malignant tumors and the molecular mechanism of signal transduction pathway.

ABSTRACT

Background and Objectives@#Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has a major impact on the quality of life of patients, and renal fibrosis is a critical pathological change in the disease. It is very important to control the process of renal fibrosis to improve the quality of life of patients with CKD. The pathological mechanism of renal fibrosis is very complicated, and the current treatment strategy also has many flaws. @*Methods@#and Results: To explore a better treatment, we collected exosomes from pluripotent stem cell (PSC)-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) and verified their therapeutic effect on renal fibrosis through In Vivo and In Vitro experiments. In this study, we found that PSC-MSC-derived comes could prevent the epithelial differentiation of NRK-52E cells, and with increasing exosome concentrations, the effect was improved. Furthermore, PSC-MSC-derived exosomes could reduce the pathological process of renal fibrosis, reduce inflammatory reactions and improve renal function in UUO mice. Moreover, the protective effect of exosomes against renal fibrosis may be achieved by increasing the expression of SIRT6 and decreasing the expression of β-catenin and its downstream products. @*Conclusions@#These findings suggest the possibility of PSC-MSC-derived exosomes as a new, effective therapeutic tool for kidney fibrosis.

ABSTRACT

Tepoxalin is a potent inhibitor of both the cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways of the arachidonic acid cascade, as well as a potent anti-inflammatory and control-pain (postoperation, arthritis et. al.) agent. The new method about the use of novel synthesis reagents and the first using ionic liquid as reactive solvent to synthesize tepoxalin were presented in this paper. The ionic liquid can be easily recycled and reused for several runs efficiently. The analgesic activity of tepoxalin was detected by acetic acid test on mice. The analysis of variance showed that oral administration of tepoxalin could significantly inhibit the number of writhing response within 1 hour and prolong the latent time in a dose dependent manner as compared with CMC control group (P < 0.05). At the same time, tepoxalin had the same analgesic activity as diclofenac sodium.

ABSTRACT

Objective To achieve computer visualization of the first Chinese visible male and female Methods After acquisition of the dataset of the first Chinese visible male and female (2 518 cross sections were obtained from the visible male, the complete data files take up 90 468 GBs; while 3 640 cross sections from the female, the complete data files take up 131 04 GBs ), we processed 2 D images in an SGI Workstation and on P4 computer respectively Then, image registration was performed through reserved scaling point Reconstruction was achieved by two approaches: volume rendering reconstruction and surface rendering reconstruction Results We visualized the whole body and special parts of Chinese visible male and female on an SGI Workstation and a personal computer respectively Furthermore, by optimizing 3 D reconstruction and data processing technique, interactive 3 D visualization of the dataset was achieved Conclusions ①The dataset of the first Chinese visible male and female proves to be eligible for 3 D visualization research ②The platform setup of interactive 3 D visualization of Chinese visible male and female dataset provides foundation for digital human anatomy and virtual surgery ③The models of human organs and parts built through data segmentation, classification, registration and drawing lay basis for rendering complex structures of the whole human body delicately
