ABSTRACT

Objective@#To analyze the improvement of executive function in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) aged 7-14 years with comprehensive intervention and drug therapy alone, to provide a basis for intervention research to improve ADHD.@*Methods@#A total of 80 children with ADHD treated in the Third People s Hospital of Ganzhou from January 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into intervention group and control group. The intervention group received drug and comprehensive intervention therapy, and sensory integration training once a week for 60 to 90 min each for 12 weeks, and conduct related training for caregivers and school teachers, the control group received only drug therapy. The changes of executive function were assessed by the stroop color word association test and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) after 12 weeks of intervention.@*Results@#After intervention, the results of the Stroop color word test in the intervention group (3.25±0.98, 4.92±1.40, 10.17±1.28) showed statistically significant differences ( t=12.94, 15.36, 26.34 , P <0.01) compared with those before intervention (6.47±1.92, 8.35±1.25, 16.55±1.57). There were also statistically significant differences ( t=6.76, 15.01, 16.15, P <0.01) in the control group ( 3.95 ±1.01, 5.45±1.15, 12.35±0.86) compared to those before intervention (6.17±1.87, 8.10±1.03, 16.02±1.38). Before intervention, the number of perseverative errors, non perseverative errors, and completed categories by WCST in the intervention group were (47.77±4.50, 35.50±2.37, 3.97±1.07), and in the control group were (46.45±7.34, 34.87±2.29, 3.70±1.11). After intervention, those of the intervention group and control group were (31.42±2.01, 24.75±2.05, 5.05±1.13) and (32.82±2.57, 25.55±1.04, 4.25±1.48), respectively. There were significant differences in the two groups before and after intervention ( t =21.93, 22.27 , -10.37; 10.84, 26.81, -6.90, P <0.01). After intervention, there were significant differences in the number of Stroop color word test errors, perseverative errors and non perseverative errors in WCST between the two groups ( t=-2.94, 2.29, -9.07, -2.35 , -2.06, P <0.05).@*Conclusion@#Through training for children and the therapy model of comprehensive intervention could significantly improve the executive function of children for a certain extent.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the adverse reactions, cosmetic effects and the improvement in positioning of breast cancer patients who received breast-conserving operation followed by hypofractionated radiotherapy and conventional radiotherapy based on the positioning of body membrane method with windowing method. Methods:From January 2019 to April 2020, 75 patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into two groups: hypofractionated radiotherapy (38 cases) administered with 42.4 Gy/16 fractions (2.65 Gy/fraction), and conventional group (37 cases) with 50 Gy/25 fractions (2.0 Gy/fraction). All of them were located by thermoplastic film, and the upper parts of the thermoplastic film were cut along the root of the breast. The adverse reactions, cosmetic effect and follow-up survival of the two groups were observed. Results:During the follow-up period, there was no recurrence in the two groups within 8 months. The local control rate and the survival rate of all the patients were both 100%. The total incidence of acute skin reaction in the two groups was 36.84% (14/38) in the hypofractionated group and 67.57% (25/37) in the conventional group ( χ2=7.09, P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of cosmetic effect was 89.47% (34/38) in the hypofractionated group and 78.38% (29/37) in the conventional group, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). There were not statistically differences in the late skin reaction, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Breast-conserving surgery followed by hypofractionated radiotherapy with the positioning of body membrane windowing localization method is feasible and safe. Also, it can significantly reduce the acute radiation skin reactions. But the long-term effects still need to be confirmed by long-term follow-up.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study effect of electroacupunture on reactive astrogliosis of rats after spinal cord injury. Methods A total of 36 SD rats were randomly divided into the sham group, model group and electroacupuncture group, 12 rats in each group. The sham group only underwent laminectomy without spinal cord injury, and the impactor was used to establish spinal cord injury model in model group and electroacupuncture group. The electroacupuncture group was given electroacupuncture after operation, while the rest groups were given the same condition of grabing. The Basso Beattie Bresnahan (BBB) scores of rats were recorded daily after operation and rats were sacrificed on the 14th day after administration. Nissl staining was used to observe the morphology of neurons. The expression of GFAP was detected by immunofluorescence. The expression of GFAP protein was detected by Western blot. Results The fifth days after the intervention, the BBB score of the electroacupuncture group was significantly higher than that of the model group (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the expression of GFAP in electroacupuncture group significantly decreased (F=23.831, P<0.001), the expression of GFAP protein in electroacupuncture group significantly decreased (F=15.883, P<0.001), the expression of IL-1β and TNF-α in electroacupuncture group significantly decreased (F=82.773, 113.487, P<0.001). Conclusions The electroacupuncture can inhibit the expression GFAP and astrogliosis to inhibit inflamation after spinal cord injury in rats, which is conducive to the repair of neurons and the recovery of limb motor function in rats.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the regularity of hematopoietic materials during the clonal evolution of aplastic anemia(AA), paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) , myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute leukemia(AL). Methods Patients diagnosed as AA, PNH, MDS and AL were recruited as cases and health volunteers were recruited as controls. Serum folic acid, vitamin B12 and ferritin levels were measured by radioimmunoassay and competitive enzyme immunoassay, before and after-treatment. Results Before treatment, the level of serum folic acid in PNH group were significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0. 05). Vitamin B12 and ferritin levels of MDS patients were higher than the control group (P < 0. 05); Serum Folic acid level in AL patients was significantly lower than the control group (P < 0. 05). In contrast, vitamin B12 and ferritin levels were higher than the control group(P <0. 05). Compared to pre-treatments AA patients, vitamin B12 and ferritin levels of MDS patients were significantly higher(P <0. 01) ;Serum folic acid level in AL patients was significantly lower(P < 0.05). However, vitamin B12 and ferritin levels were higher. Compared to pre-treatments MDS patients, serum folic acid level in AL patients was significantly lower(P < 0. 05) , whereas vitamin B12 and ferritin levels were higher(P < 0. 05). The comparison of hematopoietic materials between pre-and post-treatments among the groups showed that there was no significant difference for AA patients between pre- and post-treatments in the levels of serum folic acid and vitamin Bl2 (P > 0. 05), whereas ferritin was significantly higher after treatment caused by transfusion in AA patients(P<0. 05) ;ln PNH patients, serum folic acid was significantly higher after treatment(P<0. 05) ,and there was no significant difference in the levels of vitamin B12 and ferritin between pre-and post-treatments (P >0. 05). In MDS patients, there was no significant difference in the level of ferum folic acid between pre-and post-treatments (P > 0. 05) , whereas vitamin B12 and ferritin levels were significantly lower after treatment (P < 0. 05); In AL patients, serum folic acid was significantly higher after treatment(P <0. 05) .whereas the levels of vitamin B12 and ferritin were significantly lower after treatment (P <0. 05). Conclusions There are significant difference in serum folic acid, vitamin B12 and ferritin among the patitents of AA,PNH,MDS and AL and would be helpful in discovering the interrelationship among the four diseases pertinent to the clonal evolution, prognosis, treatment and prognosis.
