ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the expression of C-reactive protein(CRP)in 2-12-year-old children with acute otitis media(AOM),we can use CRP as a strong evidence for the usage of antibiotics in the diagnosis and treatment of otitis media.Methods 250 children with AOM were selected as the research subjects.52 cases refused to test,CRP was detected in 198 children(231 ears).CRP was examined in all patients before treatment,they were followed up for 1 month.After treatment,CRP was reviewed in three days,one week and one month,respectively.Results In 198 children(231 ears),71 ears were recovered,33 ears improved,and 127 ears were ineffective in three days,the effective rate was 45.0%(104/231).100 ears were recovered,45 ears improved,and 86 ears were ineffective in one week,the effective rate was 62.8%(145/231).121 ears were recovered,56 ears improved,and 54 ears were ineffective in one month,the effective rate was 76.6%(177/231).The effective rate were significantly different among the three groops(x2=14.643、48.406,10.494,all P<0.05).Among 198 children,188 ears were in the low expression group,43 ears were in the high expression group.After three days of treatment,the composition ratio of group B and group C was changed(x2 =5.979,P=0.014),while group A had a significant change(x2 =13.948,P=0.000).Therefore,early use of antibiotics was effective in reducing CRP,so as to reduce the clinical symptoms in children.Conclusion CRP can be used to guide antibiotic monitoring.

ABSTRACT

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is liver parenchymal inflammation mediated by the autoimmune response of hepatocytes. Its clinical features include elevation of aminotransferases in serum, presence of various autoantibodies in circulation, hypergammaglobulinemia, and interface hepatitis in liver tissue. Although the etiology and pathogenesis of AIH have not been fully elucidated, a consensus has been reached on the theories of "genetic susceptibility" and "molecular simulation" , and "immunoregulatory disorder" remains a hot research topic for many scholars. This article reviews the research advances in the theories of "genetic susceptibility" , "molecular simulation" , and "immunoregulatory disorder" .

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore effects of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in combination with infusion of endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) on bone marrow inflammatory injury.@*Methods@#6-8 weeks BALB/c (H-2Kd) mice after lethal dose of irradiation (TBI) were subjected to allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT group) or co-transplantation of EPC (EPC group) . Samples of bone marrow cells of mice in each group on days 7,14,21,28 after transplantation were obtained to detect EPC cultural and cell chimeric rates by flow cytometer. Mice were sacrificed on days 7, 14, 21 and 28 post HSCT to analyze bone marrow pathology by H&E staining, the infiltration of macrophages and neutrophils by Western blot, validation expression levels of inflammatory complexes nlrp1、nlrp6 and its downstream molecules casepase-1 by Q-PCR and Western blot.@*Results@#Cell chimeric rate on day 7 after transplantation in EPC group[ (91.65±2.77) %] was significantly higher than in BMT group[ (83.69±1.26) %]. Alleviated osteomyelitis injury and inflammatory cell infiltration in EPC group were observed when compared with BMT mice. Also significant reductions of the levels of nlrp1、nlrp6、casepase-1 transcription complexes in EPC mice were noted when compared with BMT ones.@*Conclusion@#Co-transplantation of HSC and EPC could alleviate inflammatory cell infiltration and activation of the complex to promote the repair of bone marrow.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluated the improving effect of training method of point-line-plane on development quotient in premature infants with brain injury.Methods 174 cases of premature children with brain injury were randomly divided into study group (89 cases) and control group (85 cases).Control group given Bobath and Vojta traditional rehabilitation training,and the study group was given training method of point-line-plane.Patients in both groups were evaluated synthetically based on The Evaluation Chart on Neu-robehavioral Development of Children Aged 0-6 Years,developed by Capital Institute of Pediatrics,prior to the treatment,and after the first,the second,and the third course of the training programs,respectively.Re-sults The score of developmental quotient ( DQ) between study group and control group was no significantly different(P>0.05).Compared with before treatment, the scores of DQ was significantly increased after the first, the second and the third course of training treatment in study group and control group((82.71±12.28) vs (81.17±9.63), t=0.859, P>0.05;(89.65±10.02) vs (87.02±7.39), t=1.747, P>0.05). Compared with the control group, the scores of DQ in study group was no significant difference after the first and the second course of treatment,but there was significantiy different after the third course treatment((95.26±8.87) vs (91.31±7.63), t=2.945, P=0.004).Conclusion The training method of point-line-plane can improve the clinical efficacy of premature infants with brain injury at the early phase, which is worth widely applying in clinical practice.

Objective To determine the prevalence of sleep disorders and related symptoms of 1 0 years old children in Baoshan Dachang area of Shanghai.Methods From September 201 4 to June 201 5,1 01 6 children at the age of ten were randomly selected and information was collected by using a parent -completed questionnaire to ascer-tain in sleep disorders and related symptoms.Results The prevalence of sleep disturbances in 1 01 6 childrens was 53.5 %,included active 1 6.9%,inattention 1 3.0%,allergic rhinitis 1 2.8%,poor academic performance 1 2.4%, poor learn ablity 1 2.4%,too much sweat at night 8.7%,irritable and slapstick 8.5%,muoth breathing 6.7%,repeat respiratory infection 5.5%,tired easily in the day 5.3%,tousillar hypertrophy 4.7%,growth retardation 3.9%, aweeks at night and sleep terrors 3.4%,anorexia 3.4%,night sleep snoring 2.8%,nasosinusitis 2.6%,bronchial asthma 1 .6%.326 boys in the 502 sleep disorder related symptoms,accounted for 64.9%,21 8 girls in the 51 4 sleep disorder related symptoms,accounted for 42.4%.It was under high prevalence of sleep disorders in male and female children(χ2 =51 .81 5,P <0.01 ).According to BMI,these children were divided into four groups.To compare the incidence of sleep disturbance associated symptoms in children with different BMI.Lean group of children in apnea, aweeks at night and sleep terrors,growth retardation of the occurrence rate was higher,compared to all other groups among children with significant difference.Conclusion At present,it is under high prevalence of sleep disorders and related symptoms at the age 1 0 children in Baoshan Dachang area of Shanghai,which the doctors in Department of ENT and related departments and parents should pay high attention.To develop a good sleep habit of children can help to reduce the occurrence of sleep disorders.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of Galangin of different purity on melanocyte proliferation and melanin synthesis of A375-HaCaT co-culture system. Methods The A375-HaCaT co-culture system was established with Transwell technology, and 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0, 10 μg/mL Galangin of the purity of 70%and 90%was used to act on the co-culture system. Cell proliferation, melanin content and tyrosinase of A375 were measured by MTT assay, NaOH lysis assay and L-DOPA oxidation assay respectively. The cytokines such as ET-1 and SCF in HaCaT were detected by ELISA. Results A375 cells in co-culture system grew well, and 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0, 10 μg/mL Galangin of the purity of 70% and 90% had up-regulation effect on cell proliferation, melanin content and tyrosinase of A375. Moreover, Galangin could increase the expression level of ET-1 and SCF of HaCaT at more than 0.5 μg/mL, and the effect of Galangin of 70% purity was better than 90% purity. Conclusion Galangin could promote the cell proliferation, melanin content and tyrosinase of A375, and mechanism of the pathways is probably related to the up-regulation on the expression of ET-1 and SCF of HaCaT.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To establish the fingerprint of Vernonia anthelmintica extracts of different ethanol concentrations to study the effect of common peak components on the proliferation of A375 human melanoma cells and the correlation between fingerprint and pharmacodynamics of V. anthelmintica extracts, in order to provide both theoretical basis and data support for establishing a traditional Chinese medicine quality control mode with the combination of fingerprint and pharmacology.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>HPLC was applied to establish fingerprint of V. anthelmintica extracts of different ethanol concentrations and the similarity evaluation was made. MTT was used to study the proliferation of A375 human melanoma cells. Grey relation analysis was adopted to analyze the correlation between fingerprint and pharmacology of V. anthelmintica.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The HPLC fingerprint of different V. anthelmintica ethanol extracts showed 13 common peaks with the proliferation effect on A375 human melanoma cells. The 4th peak had the largest contribution and highest correlation to cell proliferation.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Different V. anthelmintica ethanol extracts have different fingerprints, which show a certain correlation between their common peaks and effect on cell proliferation.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of thymopentin(TP-5)for the experimentsl autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE)in rats.Metbods The EAE model wss established in wistar rats immunized with fresh guinea pig spinal cord homogenate(GPSCH)and complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA).Wistar rats were divided randomly into five groups:normal control group,EAE group,dexamethaSone(DXM)group,low dose TP-5 treated group,hish dose TP-5 treated group.The levels of IL-12 and IL-10 in serum of wistar rats were detected by sandwich-ELISA on day 7,14 and 21 post immunization.Resuits Morbidity and clinical score of low dose TP-5 treated group and DXM group were significantly lower than those of EAE group and hish dose TP-5 treated group(P<0.01).Morbidity and clinical score of DXM group were significantly lower than those of low dose of TP-5 treated group(P<0.01).The levels of IL-12 of EAE group,DXM group,low dose TP-5 treated group and high dose TP-5 treated group were significantly higher than of normal control group at each time point(P<0.01).The levels of IL-12 of DXM group and low dose TP-5 treated group were significantly lower than that of EAE group(P<0.01),meanwhile the levels of IL-10 of DXM group and low dose TP-5 treated group were significantly higher than that of the rest groups on day 14 and 21 post immunization(P<0.01).Conclusion TP-5 has protective effects on EAE,and its functional mechanism may be associated with down.regulation of IL-12 as well as up-regulation of IL-10,so as to reverse the imbalance of TH1/TH2 responses by bidirectional regulation.
