ABSTRACT
OBJETIVO: Desarrollar y validar una escala de adecuación cultural para la atención del parto en establecimientos de salud, población de Patacamaya, Departamento de La Paz, 2015 METODO: Es un estudio cualitativo y cuantitativo, de validación de un instrumento documental. La primera etapa cualitativa corresponde a la validez de contenido, que abarcó la Fase I y parte de la Fase II del proyecto, donde se estableció la composición del instrumento determinando el número de ítems. La segunda etapa (Fase III y IV) fue enteramente cuantitativa consistente en determinar la validez de constructo, fiabilidad, estabilidad, criterio y rendimiento del instrumento. RESULTADOS: Se desarrolló y validó un instrumento que mide la adecuación cultural del parto para establecimientos de salud. Consta de 20 ítems y 4 dominios o dimensiones, tiene 5 ítems asignados para cada dominio considerando todo el proceso del parto de acuerdo a las costumbres locales de Patacamaya, su valor final es la existencia o no de adecuación cultural en la atención del parto. La fiabilidad del instrumento Ítem total fue de 93% (alfa de Cronbach = 0,933), la fiabilidad dominio total fue 91% (alfa de Cronbach = 0,913), la fiabilidad dominio total rotada fue también aceptable (alfa de Cronbach = 0,904), estabilidad aceptable (índice de Kappa de Cohen 0,50 p valor = 0,008), concordancia entre operadores; con una sensibilidad de 71,4% y una especificidad de 78,6%. CONCLUSIONES: El instrumento tiene una fiabilidad alta con una cifra cercana a la unidad con una estabilidad aceptable.

RESULTS: It was developed and validated an instrument that measures the cultural adequacy of childbirth for health facilities. It consists of 20 items and 4 domains or dimensions, has 5 items assigned to each domain considering the entire process of childbirth according to the local customs of Patacamaya, its final value is the existence or not of cultural adequacy in childbirth care. The reliability of the instrument - Total item was 93% (Cronbach'salpha = 0.933), the total domain reliability was 91% (Cronbach'salpha = 0.913), the total domain reliability rotated was also acceptable (Cronbach'salpha = 0.904), Acceptable stability (Cohen Kappa index 0.50 p value = 0.008), agreement between operators; With a sensitivity of 71.4% and a specificity of 78.6%. CONCLUSIONS: The instrument has a high reliability with a figure close to the unit with an acceptable stability.
