ABSTRACT
This patient was suffering from vague dyspepsia for the last 3 years, and was treated symptomatically in different hospitals but without permanent relief. Diagnosis was made by barium meal which revealed a large duodenal diverticulum at the junction of 2nd and 3rd part of duodenum. At the time of admission he had symptoms and signs of acute diverticulitis. After conservative treatment, extra-luminal diverticulectomy was done and he made an un-eventful recovery. The diagnosis of diverticulitis was confirmed by Histopath studies
