ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the correlation between CYP2C19*2 gene polymorphism and efficacy of anastrozole in postmenopausal women with breast cancer. Methods The polymorphisms of CYP2C19*2 gene in postmenopausal women with postmenopausal breast cancer were detected by PCR. Results The A allele frequency of the CYP2C19*2 gene(OR=3.146,95% CI:1.244~7.275,P<0.05)was a risk factor for the efficacy of post-menopausal breast cancer patients. The survival rate was lower than that of GG(χ2=6.26,P<0.05).After treat-ment,the FSH and LH of GG patients were significantly lower than those of AA and GA(t=5.29,6.47,P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that anastrozoleand CYP2C19*2 gene polymorphism were indepen-dently associated with serum FSH and LH levels in postmenopausal women with breast. Conclusion CYP2C19*2 gene polymorphism is associated with anastrozole in the treatment of postmenopausal breast cancer.

ABSTRACT

Silver nanoparticles were prepared by chemical reduction. Fusarium graminearum was used as the test strain. To study the inhibition of F. graminearum by silver nanoparticles, we studied the activities of protective enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT), and the contents of osmotic adjustment substances soluble protein, soluble sugar and malonaldehyde (MDA) in F. graminearum. Silver nanoparticles inhibited F. graminearum and the inhibitory effect was increased with the concentration of silver nanoparticles. The inhibition rate of 10 μg/mL silver nanoparticles was more than 90% and EC50 was 0.59 μg/mL. When the treating time prolonged (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 h), the activity of SOD, CAT and POD increased firstly and then declined. SOD, POD and CAT reached the maximum at 4 hours, and decreased to minimum at 10 hours. Silver nanoparticles also increased the MDA content and reduced the soluble sugar and protein contents in pathogens. These results indicated that cell integrity was destroyed in the presence of silver. This may be one of the inhibiting mechanisms of silver nanoparticles on the growth of F. graminearum.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effects of caffeine on the prevention of Alzheimer's disease (AD).Methods:Use Ethanol as a solvent to extract the caffeine in tea and then injecting 5% D-galactose saline solution 1ml/d/kg to establish aging model mice.Divide mice randomly into experimental group (high-dose/low-dosecaffeine),positive control group, negative control group, and normal con-trol group (NS) and injecting appropriate drugs for consecutive four weeks.Test superoxyde dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehvde (MDA) periodically.Take mice's hippocampus and use Western blotting to detect the expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and extracellular signal-regulated kinasesl/2 (p-ERK1/2).Results:The expression of BDNF and p-ERK1/2,negative control group is less than low-dose experimental group and positive control group (P<0.01);The p-ERK1/2 expression of injecting D-galactose mice was significantly lower than normal group, negative control group compared weth the normal group, the differencd was significant (P<0.05).The level of SOD in model group was significantly lower than that in normal control group, high, low dose caffeine group and positive control group (P<0.01),but the level of MDA is opposite. Conclusions:Caffeine can delay aging process by increasing the level of SOD in aging mice, and enhancing the expression of BDNF and P-ERK1/2.Caffeine does a lot to prevent AD.

ABSTRACT

Objective To test the reliability and validity of the short version of depression-anxiety-stress scale (DASS-21) for students in the disaster region. Methods DASS-21 and the Chinese version of UCLA PTSD Reaction Index for DSM-IV,Revision I were used to evaluate psychological health among 876 students from grades 5 to 9 after Ya' an earthquake. Results (1) Each of the items had a good distinction degree, with CR value ranging from 9.268 to 22.438 (P< 0.01),and the correlation coefficients ranged from 0.306 to 0.742.(2)The Cronbach' s alpha coefficients ranged from 0.781 to 0.911.(3) The correlation coefficients between total score and each dimension ranged from 0.714 to 0.914,and the correlation coefficient between PTSD and total DASS score, depression anxiety and stress score was 0.626-0.774.(4)Through the item analysis and explore factor analysis, the revised scale contained 21 items and 3 subscales which could explain 47.813% of the total variance(KMO =0.937,x2 =3126.85,df=210,P<0.01),and the results of confirmatory factor analysis supported the three-factor model (x2/df=4.180,P<0.01,PCFI =0.728,CFI =0.904,IFI =0.905,TLI =0.881,and RMSEA =0.060),and the load of each item was between 0.339 to 0.715.Conclusion The short version of DASS-21 is reliable and valid, and can be used as a tool for post-disaster stress assessment on local students.
