ABSTRACT

This paper aimed to predict the active ingredients and action targets of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet for hypertension based on network pharmacology, and discuss its possible "multi-components, multi-targets, and multi-pathways" mechanism for treatment of hypertension. The integrative pharmacological platform of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM-IP) was used to construct the component target-disease target network of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet, and the internet analysis method was used to screen the key nodes, on which the pathway enrichment analysis was carried out to explore its possible biological process in the treatment of hypertension. Target network analysis showed that, 35 predicted active ingredients of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet had a strong interaction with the prostaglandin endogenous peroxidase synthase (PTGS1, PTGS2), ATP synthetase (ATP1A1, ATP5A1, ATP5C1, ATP5B) and other 29 major proteins. Network enriched analysis showed that Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet participated in the regulation of hypertension in different processes of pathology, through 15 pathways such as regulating blood pressure, G protein coupled receptor activation, adrenergic myocardial cell signal transduction and platelet activation. This study revealed the potential active compounds and possible mechanism of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet for treatment of hypertension, providing theoretical references for further systematic laboratory experiments on effective compounds and action mechanism of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore influence of walking training on pulmonary function and blood glucose in aged pa‐tients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) .Methods :A total of 163 T2DM patients treated in our department were selected .According to number table ,they were randomly divided into routine group (n= 80 ,performed DM diet and routine insulin therapy strictly ,and lived as usual) and intensive group (n=83 ,received intensive walking train‐ing based on strict DM diet and routine insulin therapy ,namely walking ≥10000 steps/d for eight weeks) .Pulmona‐ry function and blood glucose indexes were compared between two groups before and after intervention .Results:Compared with before treatment ,after treatment ,there was significant rise in pulmonary function and significant reductions in blood glucose indexes in intensive group , P0.05 .Conclusion:As a low intensity aerobic exercise ,walking training can effectively improve pulmonary function , glucose metabolism in aged patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus ,it is help to improve quality of life .

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To evaluate the high-resolution and color Doppler ultrasonographic (US) characteristics of cervical lymphadenopathy in patients with infectious mononucleosis.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>High-resolution and color Doppler US were performed in 30 patients aged 2 to 30 years with a total of 59 palpable enlarged cervical lymph nodes due to infectious mononucleosis. The US characteristics of the nodes including shape, echotexture, hilum, border, matting, cystic necrosis, calcification and vascular pattern were assessed. Three patients received cervical lymph nodes biopsies.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The common US findings of cervical lymphadenopathy due to infectious mononucleosis were round shape (69.5%),bilateral distribution (96.7%),matting (83.3%) [even bilateral matting (66.6%)],indistinct margin (79.7%),absence of hilum (66.1%),heterogeneous echotecture (61.0%),and central hilar vascular pattern(89.8%). In 2 patients with absence of the echoic hilum, lymph nodes biopsies showed histological features including marked effacement of the normal architecture in the medullary region accompanied by a mixed proliferation of lymphocytes and histiocytes. In all infectious mononucleosis nodes with a hilum,85.0% had heterogeneously hypo/iso-echoic hila and indistinct demarcation to the cortex. One of them underwent lymph node biopsy and histological findings showed obvious dilation of the sinus oidal lumen and proliferation of histiocytes.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Although several ultrasonographic characteristics frequently present in the nodes of infectious mononucleosis are not specific, the combination of ultrasound findings may be valuable in differential diagnosis.</p>
