ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the characteristics of Banna miniature pig liver failure induced by amanita exitialis. Methods: From September to October 2020, a reverse high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method was used to determine the toxin content of amanita exitialis solution, and 2.0 mg/kg amanita exitialis solution (α-amanitins+β-amanitins) was administered orally to Banna miniature pigs. Toxic symptoms, blood biochemical indexes and histopathological changes of liver, heart and kidney were observed at each time point. Results: All Banna miniature pigs died within 76 h of exposure, and different degrees of digestive tract symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea appeared between 6 and 36 h. The biochemical indexes of alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin, lactate dehydrogenase, myoglobin, creatine kinase isoenzyme, blood urea nitrogen and creatinine increased significantly at 52 h after exposure, and the differences were statistically significant compared with 0 h (P<0.05). The bleeding of liver and heart was obvious under macroscopic and microscopic observation, hepatocyte necrosis, renal tubule epithelial cell swelling. Conclusion: Large dose of amanita exitialis can cause acute liver failure of Banna miniature pigs, which is in line with the pathophysiological characteristics of acute liver failure, and lays a foundation for further research on the toxic mechanism and detoxification drugs of amanita exitialis induced liver failure.

ABSTRACT

This paper reported a case of poisoning caused by ingestion of Amanita neoovoidea. The patient experienced nausea, vomiting, oliguria, acute renal function injury, and was discharged after symptomatic support treatment and blood purification treatment. Given the different toxicity of different mushrooms, species identification of poisonous mushrooms can help clinicians in diagnosis and treatment.

ABSTRACT

Objective To describe the status of hope,self-efficacy,and self-management in patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD)(stages 1-3)and to explore the interactions between these three variables. Methods Herth Hope Index,self-efficacy scale, and CKD self-management instrument were used to evaluate the patients with CKD(stages 1-3)in PUMC Hospital(=153). Structural equation modeling was used to establish the structural equation model of hope,self-efficacy,and self-management.Results The median score of hope was 40.0(36.0,44.5),and 85.0% of patients were in higher level of hope. The median score of self-efficacy was 8.3(7.1,9.4)and the overall score of self-management was 89.0±13.4. There were no significant differences in level of hope and self-management among patients with different age, gender, marital status, educational level, course of disease, and CKD stages(all >0.05). Age and marriage status were significantly associated with self-efficacy. Self-efficacy was significantly higher in >65 years group than in other age groups(<0.05)and was significantly higher in married group than in single group(<0.05).The level of hope had direct effect on self-efficacy(=0.67,<0.05)and self-management(=0.46,<0.05).Conclusions The levels of hope,self-efficacy,and self-management are high in patients with CKD(stages 1-3). Hope directly affects the self-efficacy and self-management of these patients.

ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to explore the expression of CD34 in patients with biphenotypic acute leukemia (BAL) and its relation with the prognosis of BAL. The flow cytometry was used to detect leukemia-associated antigen. The used monoclonal antibodys (McAb) included CD10, CD19 and CD34 for B lymphocyte lineage, CD2, CD3 and CD5 for T lymohocyte lineage, MPO, CD13 and CD33 for myeloid lineage. The finally results were respectively analyzed. The results indicated that 9 out of 216 cases of leukemia was diagnosed as BAL (4.2%). Among 9 cases of BAL, 6 cases showed the common expression of myeloid and T lymohocyte lineages (66.7%), 3 cases showed the common expression of myeloid and B lymohocyte lineages (33.3%). 4 cases of BAL displayed CD34 positive expression (44.4%). As compared with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the BAL patients showed higher CD34 positive expression (P < 0.05). It is concluded that the BAL patients show a poor prognosis, as compared with AML or ALL patients. The therapeutic effect of BAL may negatively correlate with the CD34 positive expression.

ABSTRACT

AIM:To determine notoginsenoside R_1 and ginsenoside Rg_1, Rb_1 in Zidan Huoxue Tablet by HPLC linear gradient elution (total saponins of Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng). METHODS: Using HPLC method with Hypersil ODS2 C_ 18 column. A mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water 0-20 min (20∶80), 20-21 min(40-20∶60-80), 21-30 min(20∶80) gradient elution. The column temperature was at room temperature. The detection wavelength was at 203 nm. RESULTS: The linear ranges of R1, Rg1, Rb1 were 0.52-2.6 ?g (r= 0.999 9 ), 2.106 -10.53 ?g (r= 0.999 6 ) and 2.946-14.73 ?g (r= 0.999 6 ), respectively. The average recoveryies were 99.3% (RSD=1.1%), 100.0%(RSD=0.5%) and 99.7%(RSD=0.9%), respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is selective and reproducible for determination of notoginsenoside R_1 and ginsenoside Rg_1, Rb_1 in Zidan Huoxue Tablet.
