ABSTRACT

Femoral nerve neuropathy secondary to an ilipsoas muscle haematoma is an emergency. Computed tomography is generally accepted as the radiological examination of choice. A case is reported to disclose the complementary value of ultrasonography in diagnosis and treatment. Immediate surgical drainage is warranted in case of an iliopsoas haematoma secondary to anticoagulation therapy with subsequent femoral nerve palsy
