ABSTRACT
Balloon valvuloplasty in 18 patients aged 2 to 48 years with moderate to severe valvular pulmonary stenosis reduced the pulmonary valve gradient from 63.22 [ +/- 23.05] to 16.27 [ +/- 18.85] mmHG [p <0.01]. 66.6% had a residual right ventricular outflow tract gradient of 30-80 mmHg [59, +/- 19.75]. all had mild well-tolerated pulmonary regurgitation. The procedure was uneventful in all of them. A short term [2-9 months] clinical and echocardiographic follow up of 16 patients showed persistent improvement
