ABSTRACT
O estudo efetuou o levantamento detalhado da fonte poluidora com coletas de amostras de águas superficiais, subterrâneas, efluentes e resíduos sólidos industriais, associados ao Aterro Industrial. Os resultados permitiram a compreensão do comportamento de íons de metais pesados, que, na área, está intimamente ligado aos valores dos parâmetros físico-químicos como pH e Eh. Foram encontradas altas concentrações de manganês e chumbo, principalmente nas águas subterrâneas, demonstrando grande mobilidade destes íons, indicando sua ação direta no processo poluente. Por tratar-se de área bastante contaminada, recomenda-se monitoramento sistemático dos agentes poluidores, alertando para o risco de bioacumulação na cadeia trófica.
This study was conducted by the detailed survey of the polluting source. Several samples of superficial and groundwater, effluents and industrial waste associated to the Industrial Landfill were collected. The results allowed to understand that the heavy metals behavior are strongly dependent on the physic chemical parameters as pH and Eh. High manganese and lead concentrations have been found, mainly in groundwater, demonstrating the great ions mobility, indicating theirs direct action in the pollutant process. Systematic monitoring of the polluting agents is recommended, alerting for the risk of bioaccumulation in the trophic web.
