ABSTRACT
A implantodontia contemporânea tem se preocupado em reabilitar pacientes edêntulos em tempoúnico, visando a bons resultados estéticos e funcionais. Procedimentos de colocação de implantes emalvéolos pós-exodontia têm-se tornado situações comuns na implantodontia quando associados a con-fecção imediata das restaurações protéticas. Este fato deve-se aos avanços no conhecimento biomecânicoe biologia tecidual. Este artigo tem por objetivo revisar a literatura e relatar um caso de implanteimediato com confecção de prótese provisória imediata.
One of the major goals of contemporary Implantology has been to successfully treat edentulouspatients in a single approach, looking forward to achieving optimum esthetics and function. Implantplacement in fresh sockets followed by immediate prosthetic reconstruction has become a predictable and outinely performed approach in selected cases thanks to the growing knowledge in tissue biology andbiomechanics. The aim of the present work is to review the literature and present a case report ofimmediate implant and provisional prosthesis preparation.
