Sistema de acciones psicosociales para la orientación a la familia de pacientes con cáncer de mama

RESUMEN El cáncer de mama tiene una repercusión psicológica que afecta no sólo a las personas diagnosticadas sino también a sus familias. Así, se realizó una investigación con el objetivo de fundamentar teóricamente un sistema de acciones psicosociales para la orientación a las familias de pacientes con cáncer de mama. El estudio tuvo lugar en el Hospital Oncológico de Camagüey durante el periodo de septiembre de 2020 a septiembre de 2021. Sus resultados tributan a un proyecto perteneciente al Centro para el Desarrollo de las Ciencias Sociales y Humanísticas en Salud. La aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas y una batería de test psicológicos para evaluar depresión, ansiedad, afrontamiento afectividad y funcionamiento familiar, permitieron realizar el diagnóstico en la muestra conformada por 81 familiares. Los fundamentos filosóficos, psicológicos y sociológicos que este posee incluyen entre sus soportes teóricos principales el enfoque de sistema. Se implementó en el servicio de mastología del mencionado hospital en una muestra piloto de seis familiares.

ABSTRACT Breast cancer has a psychological impact that affects not only those diagnosed but also their families. Thus, an investigation was carried out with the objective of theoretically support a system of psychosocial actions for the orientation of families of breast cancer patients. The study took place at the Oncological Hospital of Camagüey during the period from September 2020 to September 2021. Its results pay tribute to a project belonging to the Center for the Development of Social and Humanistic Sciences in Health. The application of semi-structured interviews and a battery of psychological tests to evaluate depression, anxiety, coping, affectivity and family functioning, it allowed the diagnosis to be made in the sample made up of 81 relatives. The philosophical, psychological and sociological foundations that it possesses include the system approach among its main theoretical supports. It was implemented in the mastology service of the aforementioned hospital in a pilot sample of six relatives.

Contribución social de médicos camagüeyanos a los colegios religiosos católicos: el estigma de ser negro / The social contribution of Camagüey doctors to the Catholic religious schools: the stigma of being black

RESUMEN El trabajo tiene como objetivo revelar la contribución social de médicos camagüeyanos negros a la educación católica, a partir de su relación con los colegios regentados por la Iglesia, en un contexto marcado por desigualdades raciales. Se utilizaron métodos teóricos como la revisión documental y bibliográfica, también fueron aplicadas historias de vida y entrevistas. La investigación se centra en el quehacer asistencial de médicos camagüeyanos, vinculados a las Hermanas Oblatas de la Providencia, en particular a los colegios a cargo de estas monjas negras, que educaban a niñas y niños de ese color de piel. Se pudo esclarecer quiénes fueron los doctores más vinculados a esas instituciones y establecer cuál fue su labor en ellas en las décadas del 40- 50 del siglo XX. Queda valorada su contribución social en la asistencia brindada a ese segmento poblacional y al significado de esta sin la mediación de prejuicios raciales.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is reveal the social contribution of black Camagüey doctors to the Catholic education from it relation with the schools occupied by the church in a context marked by racials ineguality. It put in practical use theoric methods such as documentary an bibliographical revisión; it also were aplyed life history and entreviews. The research it focus in the assistance job of the Camaguey doctor linked to the Sisters Providence Oblates, especially the schools of these black nuns who give education to black girls and boys. The paper show who were the doctors most linked to these religious institution and to situate their Jobs in these schools in the ´40 and ´50 of the 20 th century. Their social contribution is valved in this type of population and the meaning of this contribution with out racial prejudice.

Humanismo y asistencia benéfica en las "Cartas a Elpidio" de Félix Varela / Humanism and Beneficence in Félix Varela's "Letters to Elpidio"

En el presente trabajo se valora la presencia de la concepción humanista de Félix Varela en su obra "Cartas a Elpidio". Se toma como punto de partida al humanismo filosófico en su variante latinoamericana, ubicando a Varela en el lugar correspondiente al llamado "triángulo básico" de la filosofía cubana del siglo XIX. En particular, se hace énfasis en sus ideas acerca de la asistencia benéfica y de la subordinación del bien individual al bien común, cuestiones que aunque constituyen una línea temática permanente dentro del pensamiento vareliano obra, reciben aquí un tratamiento muy maduro, que no ha sido objeto de estudios precedentes. Asimismo se toman en consideración las condiciones y el momento histórico en que fue escrita la obra y las acciones benéficas, de asistencia social, que conjuntamente se generan.

The presence of Félix Varela's humanistic position in his work "Letters to Elpidio" is appraised in this work. Philosophical humanism in its Latin American variant is taken as a starting point, placing Varela in a position corresponding to the so-called "basic triangle" of Cuban philosophy in the XIX century. In particular, emphasis is made in his ideas about beneficence and the subordination of individual well-being to common well-being, issues that although they constitute a permanent thematic line in Varela's thought; receive a very mature treatment in this work, even more mature than that of precedent studies. Also they take into consideration the conditions and the historical context in which this work was written and the beneficent actions, of social assistance that are consequently generated.
