ABSTRACT
Introducción: La región glútea ha sido considerada una de las zonas más observadas tanto en mujeres como en hombres y constituye un ícono representativo de belleza corporal. En los últimos años se ha incrementado el deseo de las féminas de aumentar esta región anatómica con implantes. Objetivo: Determinar los resultados estéticos de la gluteoplastia de aumento con implantes intramusculares. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio prospectivo, longitudinal y descriptivo de 25 mujeres que acudieron a la consulta externa del Servicio de Cirugía Plástica del Hospital Clínico-Quirúrgico Hermanos Ameijeiras, desde agosto de 2016 hasta febrero de 2019, para solicitar el aumento de su región glútea con implantes. Resultados: En la serie predominaron el grupo etario de 31 a 40 años (36,0 %) y el fototipo de piel III (88,0 %); asimismo, solo 6 pacientes presentaron complicaciones (24,0 %), entre las cuales sobresalieron el seroma (20,8 %), la asimetría (12,5 %) y la dehiscencia de la sutura (8,3 %). Se observó un aumento significativo de la proyección glútea después de la intervención (α=0,05) y los resultados fueron buenos en la mayoría de las integrantes de la muestra (84,0 %). Conclusiones: La gluteoplastia de aumento con implantes intramusculares es un procedimiento seguro y ofrece resultados estéticos favorables.
Introduction: Gluteal region has been considered one of the most observed areas either in women as in men and constitutes a representative icon of corporal beauty. In the last years the desire of women to increase this anatomical region with implants has been increased. Objective: To determine the aesthetic results of the augmentation gluteoplasty with intramuscular implants. Methods: A prospective, longitudinal and descriptive study of 25 women that went to the Plastic Surgery Service outpatient consultation of Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical Surgical Hospital was carried out from August, 2016 to February, 2019, to request the increase of the gluteal region with implants. Results: In the series there was a prevalence of the 31 to 40 age group (36.0%) and the skin phototype III (88.0%); also only 6 patients presented complications (24.0%), among which seroma (20.8%), asymmetry (12.5%) and anastomotic dehiscence (8.3%) were notable. A significant increase of the gluteal projection after the intervention was observed (α =0.05) and the results were good in most of the members of the sample (84.0%). Conclusions: The augmentation gluteoplasty with intramuscular implants is a safe procedure and offers favorable aesthetic results.

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal de 32 pacientes (mayoritariamente jóvenes del sexo masculino), atendidos en el Servicio Provincial de Caumatología del Hospital General Docente "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" de Santiago de Cuba, desde agosto hasta septiembre de 2012, como consecuencia de un incendio de grandes magnitudes ocurrido en un servicentro de esta ciudad, con vistas a caracterizarles desde los puntos de vista clínico, epidemiológico y terapéutico. En la casuística predominaron las lesiones por inhalación en las personas con más de 20 % de superficie corporal quemada, a quienes se aplicó ventilación mecánica no invasiva desde las primeras 72 horas y se logró una respuesta positiva. Los 6 afectados que tenían más de 90 % de superficie corporal quemada y uno de los que presentaba entre 60-79 % fallecieron. Se demostró que con la utilización de esta técnica en las primeras 72 horas en los pacientes grandes quemados y con lesiones graves por inhalación se logra disminuir significativamente la mortalidad.
A descriptive and cross sectional study of 32 patients (mostly male young people), assisted in the Provincial Caumatology Service of "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" Teaching General Hospital in Santiago de Cuba was carried out from August to September, 2012, as a consequence of a huge fire taking place in a servicenter from this city, with the aim of characterizing them from the clinical, epidemiological and therapeutic points of view. Injuries due to inhalation in people with more than 20% of burned body surface to whom non invasive mechanical ventilation was applied since the first 72 hours with a positive response, prevailed in the case material. The 6 affected patients who presented more than 90% of burned body surface and one of those who presented 60-79% died. It was demonstrated that with the use of this technique in the first 72 hours in the largely burned patients, with severe injuries due to inhalation it is possible to decrease mortality significantly.
ABSTRACT
Se describe el caso clínico de una paciente de 20 años de edad, quien acudió a consulta para solicitar que le retiraran, de la manera más estética posible, un tatuaje que exhibía en el miembro inferior derecho desde hacía 10 años, el cual le impedía optar por una carrera militar. Una vez realizada la exéresis quirúrgica de dicho tatuaje se procedió a la aplicación local de concentrados de plaquetas como método alternativo. A los 20 días ya se había obtenido una cicatrización total, no aparecieron reacciones adversas y la joven quedó totalmente satisfecha con el medicamento empleado.
The case report of a 20 year-old female patient who went to the department for the removal, in the most aesthetic way, of a tattoo in the right lower member for the last 10 years, which avoided her to opt for a military career is described. Once the exeresis of this tattoo was made, the local application of concentrated platelets was carried out as alternative method. After 20 days, a total scarring had already been obtained, there were not adverse reactions and the patient was completely satisfied with the used medication.
